You can scan your Clipper card at their kiosks or buy one on-site. Pro tip: if you have an iPhone you can set up a digital transit card and refill your transit card with your credit card. If you're going northbound you'll have to go under the tunnel to get to the right platform. This is a pretty big station and was pretty clean.

There are many free shuttles that ACE operates to get passengers quickly to and from their workplaces in the mornings and in the afternoons. There is also access to VTA light rail within a 5 minute walk from the station at either the Lick Mill or Levi's Stadium/Great America stations. I park a car at the station Tuesday-Thursday to get back and forth from my office in downtown Mountain View to the station. There's plenty of parking at both the paved VTA lot and also at the unpaved lot that was used as parking and trailer space for the Levi's station construction. The unpaved lot is a lot closer to the train platform, but I'm not entirely sure how much longer they're going to allow ACE passengers to park there now that construction is complete on the stadium. On Mondays and Fridays, I usually take the VTA light rail into downtown Mountain View. If you have to make a similar trip, take the red ACE Shuttle to the Crossman VTA station instead of walking down to Lick Mill. The connection to the light rail is usually really tight and the shuttle will take you farther down the light rail line, which will save you a run down the hill to the station. The only thing that sucks about this station is that there are no restrooms. There is one porta-poty with a lock on it that is only to be used by the shuttle drivers. If there's a big delay, you'll have to go over to the Carl's Jr to use the restroom. It's rarely an issue, but it does happen.

Every single time the Amtrak train arrives and is already slowing to a near-complete stop, the engineer blasts the horn at maximum volume for an unusually long time. It's so loud that it startles passengers and people waiting on the platform. I've seen people visibly jump from the sudden noise. I understand train horns are important for safety, but this feels excessive and unnecessary when the train is already at walking speed and nearly stopped at the station. I've ridden ACE and Caltrain many times, and they don't seem to do this in the same disruptive manner. Amtrak should review their operating practices and ensure the passenger experience is being taken seriously.

My friend and I wanted to be prepared for a next concert or event at Levi's stadium, so we decided to try it out. It did not disappoint. There were security guards making rounds at the Milpitas Transit. It was fairly empty when we were waiting for a ride around 9pm. We got to the Great America station which takes you right in front of Levi's stadium in about 18 minutes. Bruno Mars was playing in concert last Saturday night. We were able to hear him sing from the parking lot. As we were leaving to go back from Great America station back to Milpitas station, many more people joined us around 10:25pm to beat the concert crowd. It was safe with a crowd and many security guards at the Great America VTA station directing traffic. All in all, I would drive to Milpitas transit center and hop on the VTA to go see a concert at Levi's stadium so I don't need to deal with parking and the concert crowd trying to get out of the parking lot after.

It states in garage to make sure you have license plate number to pay for parking. OK Check we park and proceed to Levi Stadium. Get back after game around 5 pm to a 50.00 ticket on our vehicle. WTH???! It states that parking was to be paid before parking? How? Never heard of such a thing. It states this on the ticket. Not anywhere in garage in fact when we tried to pay for parking after game all their machines were out of order. Long story short Pay for parking as soon as you get to garage. Probably will Not Use Public Transportation or this parking garage again. As after the game it took us an hour or more to get back to Parking Garage because of lines. May as well just park at Levi. We were also crammed like sardines in the VTA train so yeah no more Public transit for us. Also tried to appeal as this was our First time using this system to no avail Ruling was 50.00 owed by October 20. So not passenger friendly and not getting any new customer here!!! Not a pleasant experience. They want you to use Public Transit and Parking but there are no directions or signs stating to purchase parking when you get there. The little ticket cop was driving around parking garage she could have informed us to pay for parking beforehand. No she was just cruising around looking to hand out tickets assuming everyone knew the Vague policy.

If you are here in the morning or late evening, you can see a lot of people boarding the tram here. Although this tram station is very old, it's a very interesting how the set up is. There is a really weird art installation full of weird photos that actually move. It's so funny. Sometimes I would get off here to take a look around and ponder upon the moving pictures. Sometimes you get people's faces on the screens, other times you see scissors, power cords and electric wires that are reflective of the trams that stop by. Benches are very clean and strangely enough very sanitary. During the overnight hours you will see no shortage of cleaner dudes in this area.

You have to go to vta.org, choose Milpitas Transit Center, and then select Daily Parking. You also have to make an account to pay. There is no worker around, so I am not even sure if they check, but for $3 it is not worth risking a ticket. For the price and convenience, this is hands down the best way to get to Levi's.

Thank goodness football fans are so nice and always seem willing to let the old lady have a seat. The trains on game days are not only standing room only, but can feel like cattle cars. When the trains not full though its heaven, comfy with a bar car, restrooms and wifi, whats not to like. The Santa Clara station doesnt appear to have an operating elevator and its several levels of steps to Stadium level. But even at my slow pace it doesnt take me more than 10 mins to walk to Levis. Be sure to check the Capitol Corridor website for discounts. My train ticket this week was only 25 bucks round trip. Pretty good deal.
