Service is quick and usually very friendly. M&S also gets a big green tick as they seem to have the most ambitious sustainability goals when compared to any other large supermarket chain. This includes things like trying to source fish from sustainable fisheries, fairtrade ingredients, free range eggs etc. The other great thing is that their goals extend beyond their stores, and extend into their supply chain, which is where a real difference can be made. If only all supermarket chains would strive for similar sustainability goals!

They did have a smaller selection than other stores nearby but the selection was still ample for what I wanted, the opening hours are pretty ridiculous too, the store closes far too early at 8:45 pm and doesn't open at all on Sunday's which isn't helpful - as this is a food store there is no reason for them not to be open on a Sunday. The staff seemed friendly enough, again the checkout area was a little awkward and too narrow. 3* - Some cool items in a useful location, there are better Marks and Spencer stores throughout the beautiful city of Paris and the opening hours here are pretty ridiculous with it being much earlier than other similar stores nearby, and the location being in the heart of the Opera district of Paris, a couple of minutes away from one of Europe's busiest train stations.

Now that she was happy we further browsed the store and I heard a piano playing in the distance and walked toward the sounds. A man (I think was a customer) was playing the classic black piano while other patrons were sitting at small tables listening. Near the piano lounge, there was a full service bakery where we purchased several fresh pastries, which we immediately ate. This type of department store you just dont find in America. The only negative was there were no bathrooms on the property. The security guard advised the bathroom was in the McDonalds restaurant next door - this seemed very odd.

Delighted to find so many varieties of not only ramyun, but tons of other korean foods packed into this tiny little mart. If I had a kitchen I would have bought more snacks and goods. I was hoping they would have kimchi in a bag too and they did! And plenty of them! And kimchi in a can too! Cooked, fresh, fermented to the max! Perfect! It does smell like crazy though just in case you take it to your hotel. Even when we put the kimchi in a ziplock bag and inside of our mini fridge, it was still very smelly. I survived off of this ramyun for two days, ate it once for dinner and once for breakfast. The kimchi was sooooooo good. Highly recommend getting it with the instant noodles. You can ask for chopsticks as well at the front. You have to pay for bags so bring your own if you don't want to fork out a few cents. Stop by here on your way to the theater! About a 5 minute walk from the main street where all the shops and theater is!

It was our first day here, so I needed to stock up on supplies - Water, fruits, snacks, and of course beer and wine, lol. I think I was spoiled by the huge upscale market that we went to every day in Nice. You know the one I am talking about, because you are following. Ambiance - Decent size, but an irregular shaped market. Has the minimum of everything we need. But it would be nice to have a full service deli, bakery, etc. Service - This is where it all failed... They/she had the hardest time getting our loyalty card. She struggled entering our phone #. Then the cashier started helping someone else with a complaint when it was finally our turn to check out. The cashier just could not figure it out, so she started going through her garbage to dig out all the previous receipts. The person behind me got impatient and started complaining. The customer that cut in line started complaining. I almost just left... Price - I did not even look; I just wanted to get OUT of there. Oh, everything we bought did not have prices, so all your labels need to be updated... What a mess! Owner Comment - Not sure what you need to do, but you need to hire better employees. Two for two FAIL!!

There was plenty of beer and wine to choose from (inexpensively) and along with meats, and cheeses all the usual items you'd find in most grocery stores here in the States. You bag it yourself here, so it doesn't hurt to carry a bag of your own while visiting, or grab one of their reusables cheaply to bring back to the US with you as a souvenier of your overseas adventure.

They only sell the 2-pint organic version here in multiple varieties including semi-skimmed which is similar to 2% milk in the US (It's actually 1.8%!) and full fat. The location is Rue de la Chaussée, there are many other stores nearby. I would say there was slightly more room between aisles and fridges at this store which made the shopping experience that little bit easier. The staff seemed friendly enough too, but there didn't seem to be any staff on the shop floor which was a little frustrating but I did eventually manage to find what I needed. They did bag my items in a very small bag. Is it value for money? No. Some of the items are extortionate, but I've also found that to be common with many things in France, I've noticed that only Apple products seem cheaper over here and not by much. It's a shame they didn't have any fresh gluten-free sandwiches either, but still, a really good store providing a taste of the UK and a taste of home comforts to tourists like me. 4*
