Arcade Bar was a great gathering spot for our team bonding meeting. Everyone had fun and the drinks were delicious.

After years of visiting Lincoln, I finally stopped in here. Bartenders were rather slow but nice enough once they got to me. The vibe and games here are great. Top picks: NFL Blitz 2000, TMNT, Simpsons, Mortal Kombat and pinball. The drinks were reasonably priced too. read more

Like any smart tourist to Lincoln, I came here by mistake, believing it was the Starlight Lounge (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-starlite-lounge-lincoln-30), one of the most well-known nightlife spots in town. The "barcade" like experience clued me in that I had stumbled upon something new at the time, the soft opening for VS. This is a solid option for the adults who want to embrace arcade gaming while still getting their drink on. Old school classics from Street Fighter to shooter friendly games like Buck Hunter and some more obscure ones (Simpson's?) with skeeball and basketball along the wall. The machines are coin operated and there are change machines in the back near the bathrooms (which aren't as great as a new place should be). The bartenders are a nice bunch of folks. I played on their only pool table that was located near the bar and managed to learn about some of their specials ($1 beer, late night deals, etc.). The regular cocktail prices might be a bit much for the UNL crowd, but no one said this was student friendly pricing. I appreciate the tall chairs situated around many of the pillars around the interior. Sometimes stand up fatigue plays a factor with some of these games, so it's nice to have a sit down option. Ventilation could always use a bit of a kick, it gets stuffy during the summer with all the machines operating at once. Moreover, I'm just glad Lincoln has another drinking option; the city's nightlife could certainly use it. read more

So........ completely sober friend wasn't allowed in the bar, all because her hair was frizzy. This place is a complete shit hole, bouncers are nothing worth worrying about the kid at the door was barely old enough to drink ‍‍‍‍ trying to decide who was sober enough to come in and who wasn't..... jokes on him " not tonight" the sober one had red eyes the rest of us that were through the door had no business being in there.. . TL;DR Employee threatened to kick autistic friend out for bringing a coffee cup in from across the street. When he apologized and explained he was autistic, she became even more condescending. Very rarely if ever comment. Just had a negative experience with one of the employees. I actually struggled to give this one star because the rest of the experience was great (drinks and atmosphere). The bar back (unclear?) met my friend at the door (who happens to be autistic, but can hold his own) and told him that he could not bring his coffee in. Friend opts to keep it behind the bar and go on about playing games. He likes old arcade games, so this should have been a great time. She continues to scold us about asking questions about the coffee, from across the street and how she was about to kick us out for questioning the "open container". We are visiting so this is news to us that it is illegal to bring a coffee cup into a different establishment because it might contain alcohol. Makes sense, it's a college town, got it. After the explanation, she tells us that we can either get some drinks there or coins from the bar. We try to recover from the awkward conversation and order a drink. She states "I don't serve" and before we make a scene that justifies getting kicked out, the other employee working jumps in and apologizes for the situation and grabs drinks. The rest of the time was great until my friend, who was distracted the whole time and feeling guilty for the situation he caused tried to apologize. He told her he was autistic and didn't understand what had happened and she decided to "educate" him as if he was deaf and dumb. We're talking hand gestures and talking at half speed and everything. I was about to lose it but he said he wanted to apologize and handle it himself. Whoever she thought she was, this was not a tactful situation. I'm sure there are rowdy patrons, but if someone explains that they are autistic and tries to apologize for their misunderstanding, maybe leave it at that. read more

Fun arcade bar in historic Lincoln's Haymarket. Great local beers on tap, and a wonderful pinball line up. (Oh they also have Skeeball, and arcade games, but we were there for pinball) Randy, one of the owners, was as nice as they come. read more

Only been here once, but first impressions were enough to never go back. The bartender girl with the green hair is very rude in general. Expect extra terrible treatment or no service at all if you are POC or noticeably LGBTQ+. Uses the guy to carry out her bidding and aggressively throw people out for no reason (he carries a knife by the way, and will pull it out on you unprovoked). Its a very frat bro kind of place and they very much want to keep it that way. We should've stuck with Starlight next door like we usually do, that place is always amazing! read more

Pretty cool games, but too many malfunctions. Only played a few games, but NBA Jams has non-functioning buttons as does NFL Blitz. Ivan Stewart's off-road race has dead spots on the screen where the truck can't be steered (yellow truck anyway). The speed on Ms. Pac-Man was super fast which allowed me to get 100K + high score, so that was cool. Decent game selection, but it looks like all of them could use a little tune up. It's no fun playing games when you can't control your players. read more

This is my favorite bar! I love the atmosphere and the staff is the best. I have a drink that I like that isn't on the menu but they are always happy to make it for me. The video games are really fun and it's a super clean place. I always take anyone there I can who's never been there. It's the perfect place to go after a long day or week at work. This bar is a 0/10!! The bartender was EXTREMELY rude to me and my friends, and on top of that, threatened to take my friends VERY REAL Kansas ID and call the cops (even after seeing a second form of ID). A very nice different type of bar atmosphere! They have Pacman here so if you want to know if you are still good at pacman, this is the place to test your skills! They serve the drinks in glasses as well. This is located in the basement of a building. read more

Female bar tender spent forever reviewing my friend's ID. Despite his ID being completely valid, the bar tender threatened to call the cops and refused us service. After he showed a second ID proving his age, the bar tender continued to refuse us service. Just go to beercade instead, the staff might actually be trained. read more

This place is pretty fun. The drink prices are very good, too. You have to have cash to get quarters to play the games, though. The games are also more expensive than other arcade bars I have been to. Warning for anyone that is using the bathroom, the wallpaper is all nude magazine pictures. Both womens bathrooms were occupied and was told I absolutely cannot use the end bathroom even thought it was empty and every other bar in lincoln allows it but I was told I would be kicked out. Would have only taken 1 minute to use the restroom but instead had to wait in line for 10 minutes for a rest room when I could have been done by then. Would not recommend being treated like that unless you want a bouncer for the restrooms:) read more

In town for business and every white person in our group was admitted without an issue. The short overweight bouncer refused admission to one of our senior leaders who just so happens to be black. He claimed her out of state ID was fake. We called the police who validated her ID, and they still refused to admit her when they left, saying they "had the right to refuse service to anyone". We're all from the same state with the same IDs. Don't give this disgusting, dirty, backwards establishent a penny of your business. Also, bonus! The walls are covered with glued on pornography - real classy stuff. read more

I got kicked out cuz the bartender thought i was drunk, but i hadn't even started drinking yet. I see multiple reviews under the bar on the issue. Which could either mean this is an actually issue at your bar or i'm making it all up. Either way, i was made uncomfortable by the whole matter. Other issues happened but have been recently addressed and fixed, and i do appreciate that from the bar. read more

This is a really cool place. We went on a Thursday night around 8 and it was pretty dead but I would imagine it picks up a bit. I know it does on the weekends. We had a couple of bud light cans that were 3 dollars each, seemed a little overpriced to me but not too bad. They have different drink specials every night though which is cool. There were lots of arcade game options, one didn't work though that we tried which was a bummer. Otherwise I really liked this place! read more

Went here on a Monday night because it was my boyfriends birthday, surprisingly there were still quite a few people. The bartender did a great job, and was super friendly. There is a large variety of arcade games, plus pool. The walls were really cool and it set a great atmosphere. The only reason I removed 1 star is because we definitely lost a couple dollars in quarters to a few games, but we got the games to work so it was okay in the end. read more

Was out walking around with the family last night after dinner and swung in to check it out. Didn't get a chance to play any games, my son had to use the bathroom really bad. Have to say that the pornography room was pretty jarring to an eleven year old. Quite unexpected for me to see as well. Maybe put a 21+ sign on the fricking door. Giving one star because the arcade part looked cool. Having my child exposed to a room covered entirely with pornography makes it hard to want to return. read more

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here last night. We came in about 20 minutes before close which is plenty of time to grab one round of drinks, but the bouncers were horribly rude about it. One of them walked up to us and ripped a drink menu out of my friend's hands and put it behind the bar without saying a word. I suppose this is how they signal last call. Another bouncer made sure to inform us right away that they were turning all the games off. I mean I suppose it's our fault for coming in so late but at the bar I work at we aren't allowed to treat customers like that. The two stars are for the friendly bartender and the excellent drinks. Arcade bars always sound like fun, until you get there and half of your quarters get eaten or the machine you want doesn't work. Drinks were fine, good selection. Nice open area. But, seems just as likely to fail as the previous one as half the games don't work or you lose quarters because the machine doesn't read it. I've been to other arcade bars where the games were FREE and you paid a bit more to drink. Something to consider... read more
