I was asked for an explanation regarding my cancelation of their services, if I pleased, again no response. The only individuals responsive to me were those expediting the movement of my funds to them. I emailed with questions about the 1-3% return on my accounts and heard "give it more time". Then I called to speak to my advisor...actually I wasn't sure who to call...and the response was that "That individual was no longer with Drake." I paid an absolutely HUGE amount of money in capital gains taxes in 2025. They had sold excellent stock I had purchased 30 years ago in a one-size- fits all plan I'm supposing. They did not provide any tax planning...They are a disgrace. Don't let the crumpets and tea distract you.

An advisor comes to the waiting room and looks around a bit for the next person to help and chooses the person with the highest numbers on their necklaces. This commercial reminded me of my experience at IAG. Of all the clients my advisor helped, I believe that I was "low man", the one with the least amount of money invested and probably the least amount of potential earnings for the future. While visits with my advisor were friendly and informative, I never developed a feeling of ease nor compassionate understanding on the part of my advisor regarding my situation. I don't know that I felt "heard". After a while of experiencing this, I needed some fresh air. I guess even the surroundings of finery and bling, in my opinion, were not very welcoming. Random pronouncements of Christian mission seemed incongruous with the advisor's attitude toward me.
