Rarely do I post reviews though I purchase hundreds of items on Amazon and use services throughout…read morethe year, unless I am very impressed by the product or service I have received. And that is the case with Alex Varela and The Wagon Legacy. My wife and I needed to update our estate plans and interviewed several firms. Top of our list was The Wagon Legacy. It's so happen Alex Varela was hosting a live seminar so we attended one and was very pleased we did. She not only provided a thorough perspective on estate planning but also walked us through their process which seemed both logical and practical. From the onset of the initial call to the first in person meeting with Ricky Santos, left my wife and I were very impressed by their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction and service. They walked us through what was involved, what to expect in weeks ahead and what our role was in the process. Their approach to every detail was down to a science which made the whole experience painless and comforting to know we were in good hands. The important Design Meeting with Attorney Michael Seaman was very productive and every minute was put to good use. Michael explained all the intricate details clearly and cohesively making us comfortable knowing we had made the right choice in selecting Alex and her team at Wagon Legacy. They helped us produce a solid estate plan that would last for many years and protect our assets for our beneficiaries down the road. As with others, I am sure we were not alone with the many questions we had along the way and each time we asked a question of Ricky, Michael, Karen, Elizabeth, and even Alex herself, we always received a prompt and thoughtful response, making us even more at ease and gave us the peace of mind we needed. We could not be happier with our choice in choosing The Wagon Legacy and their team of professionals. They are very caring and really interested in helping their clients achieve a sense of peace and comfort, protecting their hard earned assets for the legacy they leave behind. If you are in need of establishing a trust or estate plan, I highly recommend Alex and her team at The Wagon Legacy. You surely will not be disappointed and will leave having the confidence you have made the right choice. We certainly did. Kudos Alex! You have created a winning team that has and will continue to help many more like us for years to come God bless you, your family and your wonderful team at The Wagon Legacy!!!

My biggest issue with this firm was the billing. The entire experience felt like I was being…read morenickel-and-dimed at every opportunity. I would receive multiple phone calls covering the same information and then be billed for each conversation. There were also charges for seemingly random "file reviews," even when there had been no new communication or activity that I could see that would have necessitated reviewing my file again. It became extremely frustrating watching my retainer get eaten away by charges that, from my perspective, seemed unnecessary or repetitive. The customer service was also incredibly condescending. On more than one occasion, the paralegal actually laughed at me when I didn't understand something about the legal process. Isn't helping clients understand that process the entire reason people seek out a service like this in the first place? I never claimed to be a legal expert. That's why I hired them. Being made to feel stupid for asking questions was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. The final straw came when I decided I no longer needed their services. I still had a couple hundred dollars remaining on my retainer and was then charged an "account closing fee." I would genuinely love to understand why it costs a client money for a firm to simply stop working on their case. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not make the billing any easier to accept. Legal documents they prepared for me contained multiple errors and typos that had to be corrected. When you are being billed for seemingly every interaction and file review, you would at least expect the documents you are paying for to be carefully prepared. By the end, the billing practices felt excessive and difficult to justify. I walked away feeling like maximizing billable charges was a bigger priority than providing efficient service and value to the client. I went to this company specifically because I wanted an affordable alternative to an attorney. Instead, I walked away feeling nickel-and-dimed at every opportunity. For a business that markets itself as helping people navigate legal matters without the expense of hiring a lawyer, I found the billing practices particularly disappointing. In my experience, what was supposed to be the cost-effective option ended up feeling like anything but. I would not recommend this company. Save your money. Look elsewhere. UPDATE: The response from Lydia is correct -- I never voiced my concerns out of fear of not getting quality work from their offices after the frequent charges and the way they handle customer service. The few times I did request clarification about something, I was charged for condescending phone calls that simply reiterated previous points without appropriate explanation. At one point, I was even charged for an email that simply contained a blank form that I already had access to. I'm sure they do keep detailed records. Unfortunately this attention to detail is not the same when it comes to basic typos or even customer service. I'm not disputing their records at all, so it's a moot point. I will, however, say that the number of minutes they charged me for, at times, did not match my phone records. I suppose they round up. And, no, I did not previously express concerns about their customer service or condescending attitudes. You are a business. You are taking people's money and providing them with a service. If I need to tell you how to provide that service appropriately and respectfully, I'll simply take my business elsewhere -- which is exactly what I did. I waited to write this review until I was sure I no longer needed any documentation from them because, again, I just didn't trust them. And, yes, again, Lydia is correct. I did not follow up about the remainder balance of my retainer. After their "closing fees" I believe I had about $12 left. You can keep it, I'm sure the time you took to write this response falls under one of the inordinate business fees. Finally, she is correct -- I always ended correspondence with appreciation for their work. That's basic human kindness and a professional and appropriate way to deal with a business transaction. Did this business provide a service? Yes. So, I thanked them for their efforts. Did they do it well? No. So, here we are.

After witnessing her in action I felt comfortable enough to return to her for our third case when we began having child visitation issues with my ex sister in-law. This law office was able to assist us with an Ex Parte polishing and a iron clad supplemental to express extreme concern of child neglect of my niece. After reading some reviews left here on yelp...I will admit that had I not already known of Rossana I wouldn't have wanted to take a chance on this law office. But the honest to God truth is that Rossana is truly a God send attorney. Yes she is busy. Yes she can run late. Yes you must have patience. However....I waited for her to have a free consultation for 45 minutes. And I would wait for her again. Being the last appointment of the day she could've easily dismissed us but she didn't. She met with us and was 100% invested in our case. Not once did I feel she was just in it for the money. She showed concerned for my nieces welfare. She was very affordable. She didn't mind having to answer all of my families questions. She took her time explaining due process to us. She fit us in the schedule the very next day to make sure we were prepared for our pending court hearing which was to take place in 8 days. Her communication as well as her office staffs communication was at times concerning but the bottom line is that they got all the facts straight in the end . She appeared when she needed to. If running late she rescheduled and communicated with the court clerks. And once she was there in court she delivered a grand slam. I have no reservations about her whatsoever. She is professional. She provides peace of mind. And she delivers results. Her experience and professionalism is well worth any amount of wait time. It's easy to complain and become discouraged at her work load... but rest assured she is worth the wait. I am proud to call her our families attorney. I know that even if her office is closed and a forwarding number isn't left nor if there is no room for a voice mail to be left that there will always be another avenue to communicate with her by email. I honestly can say she is the people's attorney. She didn't judge me by my appearance or by my age. She was plain and simple invested in doing what is right and by the law. She helped my brother obtain full physical and sole legal custody of my niece from a neglectful mother. Which as you know is a extremely difficult task to complete. Rare and almost unheard of,...yet here we are...living proof that it can be done. God bless you "Law Offices of Rossana Mitchell" Respectfully yours, The Echavarria and Steinmetz Families.

The loss of a loved one is painful enough, but that grief can become even more overwhelming when families discover that they must also go through the probate court process, hire an attorney, and face uncertainty about the future of their family home. It is heartbreaking to see people carry these additional burdens while they are already grieving. That is why I am so thankful for Gaudy Law and the help they provide to families through the creation of a living trust. A properly prepared living trust can help families avoid probate and provide a deep sense of peace, knowing that this important responsibility has been taken care of. My wife and I personally used Gaudy Law to prepare our living trust, and the entire process was smooth, organized, and easy to understand. From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. We received phone calls confirming our meetings, text-message reminders for our appointments, and simple requests to reply "yes" to confirm. As progress was made on our living trust, we received email notifications and regular updates. We were also given access to a convenient "My Case" portal where we could view messages, documents, tasks, billing information, and updates related to our trust. The billing process was straightforward and clearly explained, and all of the information was easily available through the portal. During our first meeting, my wife and I were thoroughly informed about the full scope of the process, including billing, communication, expectations, and the steps involved in completing our living trust. Since we had never created a living trust before, we greatly appreciated how clearly everything was explained. Jaclyn Duque was professional, knowledgeable, and completely transparent throughout the process. She carefully walked us through each page, answered all of our questions, arranged the notarization, and made sure we felt comfortable and fully informed before moving forward. God forbid something should ever happen to my wife and me, but because we now have a living trust, our children will be able to grieve without also having to worry about whether our home will go through probate. To me, preparing a living trust is not only an act of responsibility, it is a tremendous expression of love for your family. I highly recommend Gaudy Law!

Communication was poor, and we often felt that our questions were not fully answered. In our experience, billing was very detailed and applied to even minor communications or tasks, so I would recommend being very familiar with the process and billing structure before signing a retainer. We also did not feel adequately informed as the retainer balance was being depleted, which is important to consider if cost is a concern. Overall, I would encourage others to ask detailed questions upfront about communication expectations, billing practices, and retainer updates before moving forward with this firm.
