BEWARE. Hired VAN STROKE to refinish my kitchen cabinets November of 2025. At Rob's suggestion used the most expensive paint top ensure durability. Initially pleased and at Rob's request gave nice review.
Within three months paint was cracking and chipping, one cabinet door became misaligned and another had a hinge come completely off. After several phone calls, texts and visits Rob told me it was not covered under his warranty! When asked what the warranty covered got a line of BS. When I told Rob that when I asked AI models "If professionally done cabinet refinishing should chip or crack within the first year" and that it said "no" and that it is probably the result of either poor preparation or improper curing. He told me it does say that and suggested it must have something to do with how my wife and I.
After months of trying to get him to make amends, he begrudgingly did so in October of 2026 - but would not warrant his repairs of his own work. During the process was rude, did not listen well and was not open to reason. MAKE SURE YOU NO WHAT HIS WARRANTY COVERS. read more
