Clark did great work for me. Fantastic communication, showed up on time, used shoe covers and cleaned up the job site. Highly recommended.

So my units are 5 years old out of warranty and already spent an extra 4,000 with these people…read more Maintenance call just cost me 400 for a thermostat after spending 1,300 on the same issue a month ago. This is a money scam and i will be changing companies after this deal. Stay away from A1!

A-1 FINCHUM IS THE COMPANY TO CALL WHEN YOU ARE UNDER DURESS. IF YOUR HVAC UNIT GOES OUT AT 3AM,…read moreA-1 IS "THE BEST COMPANY." PERIOD. Our heat expired at 3am on 22 November 2023 and I did an exhaustive search on GOOGLE. Every company in Knoxville, especially HEP had nightmarish stories and photos to prove it. After reading the reviews on A-1 Finchum Heating and Air, we called and Bryce (an HVAC tech arrived around 3:20 am. We decided it was time to buy a new HVAC system. It was bitter cold with windy conditions but that didn't slow or reduce the enthusiasm these two men (Dewayne and Sam) in their late twenties maybe early thirties possessed. I told them, "I hope they are paying you well." Their response in summation was, "yes, we are paid by the hour but, our job is an art and a science. We have to take our time to achieve perfection on the first try (attempt)." And they performed their tasks adroitly and efficiently. I was expecting a team of at least four. Allen (the salesman) sent his best: the most intelligent to tackle our HVAC debacle. Dewayne, after knocking on the door and cordially introducing himself told us he had eight years of experience and he was training Sam who was already a licensed contractor and electrician. In essence, we had two highly qualified "DUDES" who could use chainsaws, mold concrete, cut shrubs, and lay pipe and hang ductwork. Moreover, they were multi-talented. Personally, I'm curious about everything from cellular biology to mechanical engineering and medicine and botany.  Furthermore, bios is a fascinating subject from anatomy to physiology. These guys were well aware which plants on our home were Poison Ivy and the most effective methodologies for removing shrubbery to install a well made Amana 2.5 ton machine. Dewayne ordered a small load of gravel to go around the base (perimeter) to cover the PVC pipe drain that needed to flow downhill. Our other unit had a poorly designed drain system that collected water instead of allowing it to freely flow out of the machine. Occasionally, I had to empty it manually and that was cumbersome and annoying. In addition, he knew every part the other company(s) flaws as they had deliberately failed to install parts and did not return as they were taking advantage of mom when she had hundreds of thousands in the bank. She hired a small town Maytag Heat and Air company from New Market employed by thieves. Google wasn't an Omni-source of information like our contemporary search engine. So, reading reviews by real life customers who posted photos was not available and one relied on a relative's opinion about the respective company and their ethics. Often, this turned out to be incorrect info that lead to elder abuse/ignorance. At any rate, we are all toasty and this Amana is so quiet, one doesn't notice it is running. On the other hand, the window unit air conditioners were loud and rattled while making movie's dialogue difficult to hear. The space heaters also hummed at different levels due to their difference in size. Now, we have one T6 PRO Honeywell wall unit which will make life less complicated and save more money due to more efficient use of power. Overall, I'm giving them five out of five stars because in six hours from 10 to 5 with an hour lunch break, they cut brush: a Wild Black Cherry (Prunus serotina), an Arbor vitae with Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), Saw Briar (Smilax racemosa), Virginia Creeper (Parthenocisissus quinquefolia), and Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron radiccans) covering it. Used a shovel to level the ground, removed and antediluvian AC unit, replaced 10 feet of duct from the unit to midway underneath our home, molded sheet metal, intelligently wired a new outdoor breaker system for the new Amana unit, installed a new Honeywell T6 pro interior control panel/thermostat. They never asked to use our restroom, would not take a coke, sprite, or Starbucks coffee. In short, they were consummate professionals who were proud of their trade and wanted to leave us proud. THANK YOU! (TO ALL AT A-1 FINCHUM)

Chris is very informative and goes above and beyond to assure my family is safe and comfortable…read more Our heat went out on a very cold December night. I dreaded making a call to any company, knowing the expense that we would face for an "after hours" service call. I avoided the BIG names and simply scrolled through until I came across Air & Heat Full Service. The ad said open 24 hours but me being pessimistic thinking yea right i reluctantly made the call at 11pm. Chris answered, to my surprise and my first concern was pricing. Mr. Overbay, Chris, explained he did flat rate billing and no matter if he showed at 9am or 3am his service call price would be the same. Me dreading the next answer I had to ask...and how much is the service call? To my disbelief the answer was more than reasonable. If I remember correctly the cost was around $70 for a late night and no heat for the kiddos I was in. Chris arrived at almost 12 introduced himself and asked to be shown to the problemed beast. He returned to me within 15 min with a diagnosis. The igniter on our 18 year old gas furnace had run a ground. He explained he could resolve the issue that night. Me being me and frugal as I maybe asked how much and how long this would take. Chris gave me a price of $110 plus the service call bringing the bill too under $200 total out the door. Me being me and not sold this ignitor was or would be the only issue, I voiced my concern. Chris what if it's something else wrong with it? Chris assured me this was the issue and if it were anything other than what he said that that would become his issue for misdiagnosing the furnace. He walked to his van returned went right to work and to my surprise had the heat restored and working in less than 20 minutes. I received my invoice and as Chris had stated no surprises no hidden charges and heat fixed for less than $200. After telling others this same headache I was told if I called one of those BIG named companies that I would have paid over that for the "after hours" service call alone. I appreciate Chris's honesty prompt service and knowledge of the trade. Air & Heat Full Service has a customer for life and many pending referrals to come. My worries are over and I know this company surely has the best interest of the customer. Many thanks to Chris and Air & Heat Full Service.
