    New electrical panel

Austin was amazing. I got a total of 6 quotes and his quote was absolutely the best value for the amount of work done. I would also like to add that Austin never patronized me and as a woman this was not the case with all of the quotes I got. I very much appreciated that. I had a whole new electrical panel installed plus a whole home surge protector, new ground wire, hard wired smoke detectors, fixed some other wiring issues we had in the house, it was a lot of stuff. He got all this done in a timely manner and with excellent professionalism and communication. I would absolutely recommend VoltPro to anyone getting electrical work done. I will definitely hire them again, I already have another quote requested from them for a new meter can in my backyard. If I need further help they will be my first go to.

Emily and Cody showed up for an estimate 30 mins past the agreed time. They provided an estimate of…read more$8,500. My other estimates have all been below $2,000 (except 1, I left them a review on Yelp also), and lowest one being a bit below $1,500. This one is by far the biggest scam in all of Kansas City. This should qualify for attempted robbery. How is this not criminal? Shameless and disgusting. Hope your business burns to the ground. Response to the below: First, learn to count and type. There are 2 other companies that I left poor reviews for. People should be informed of the truth. I know that is something that is unknown to you and the people who work for you. You actually have the nerve to respond to me and try to justify? Wow. Who raised you? How can you even act surprised from my feedback? Can you focus on the pure number that I was quoted? Your "business" quoted me with $8,500 when the real cost of the job is below $1,500. Do you understand that the kids you sent to my address just tried to scam me for $7,000? Of course, with your permission and teachings! You are not running a business, you know exactly what this is. Do not make assumptions about how many companies I have had provide me with estimates based on a few poor reviews on Yelp for people like yourself. Your mind thinks this is about the price? This is about morals and ethics. Best of luck staying in business. The world needs more people with morals and ethics, try to get some. Call me anytime so I can lecture you about the consequences of your behaviors. Try having some shame. Take accountability for being called out on the truth and realize you cannot hide your true colors. Best of luck to you with karma. Feel extremely grateful that I am not filing formal complaints against your business yet. Do NOT dare justify or act surprised when you know exactly that the kids you sent have 0 morals also and are going nowhere in their lives, similar to their boss. Learn from this, stop these kinds of acts against people immediately. Get some morals and ethics, and don't let me catch you doing this again to anyone. I will file formal complaints and have your "business" shut down if you don't understand what that means. Because you are NOT running a business, and you won't be allowed to continue to operate under such name. Change, and begin treating people fairly. Otherwise, be prepared for the moral and legal consequences. Your choice!

They were responsive on Yelp with Request-A-Quote, and while a notch higher than some others, I figured what the hell. They could have someone out same day and the reviews looked great. The tech was later than expected (4-6 p.m. window and arrived closer to 6:30) which wasn't ideal as we had sat down to dinner. Fortunately the job was small and he was quick to handle it. To me it's a lot like calling a plumber; it's going to cost you, but you know it's going to be done right. Galvin seemed professional in how they booked and assigned the electrician. Not every service company can say the same. Hopefully won't need them again, like, ever, but if so I would recommend them and go with them again.

I live in an old house, and Mr Galvin was clearly knowledgeable about everything he saw....He is not stumped by old house wiring. He was careful to assess & fix the blown circuit. He also gave me expert advice about my big breaker box, which needs to be updated. I am so glad to have had Tim Galvin's service. His charges were extremely reasonable. Previous customers really boosted the confidence of this company and their practices. NO thank you. Here's my response to the attempt of justifications below: I've found other companies willing to complete the job for LESS THAN HALF as much, and they were willing to be transparent and provide their hourly rate and material costs separately. You can try to butter up the readers with details in your story, but this was a simple job requiring 2 holes from the attic, where the detectors would go. A 3rd hole leading outside from the attic since wiring was required from the attic to the garage and it did have to go from the exterior of the house (in a conduit). And last thing, from inside the garage into the room (basement) they're both on the same level and a common wall between the garage and this basement room is shared. You have my number, give me a call and we can discuss it more on the phone if you have any confusions about the job. But be honest with the people, you have been in business 20+ years? I don't know how, but do your best to be honest!
