i have been to this shop when i was younger and just recently started coming back. staff is cool, straight forward and to the point, and there's never any awkward or uncomfortable chit chat like i've had to deal with at other shops. i decided to write my review when i purchased a couple of defective vapes. i opened one of them and immediately realized it had little to no flavor, just tasted like smoke. it got a little better within the first 3-4 hours of having it then all of a sudden it started spitting a bunch of vape fluid every hit i took and then it got really weak like it was dying already. so i opened the second one and it was pretty flavorless, but hitting better than the first... next day i take it to work and the vape fluid happens again and it starts hitting really weak. i called on my lunch break and was told by an older gentleman to bring them in and they'll see what they can do. i go in after work and when i said i called i was immediately recognized by the nice older gentleman! the younger guy in there asked me what happened and listened, then explained how defective ones happen here and there and they're mass produced. honestly i was ready to take the L cause i'm not one to push and i understand it's not exactly the business's or the employees fault for me spending my money on a defective vape lol but he was kind in offering me an exchange of at least one of them and made sure i tried it in store before i left. i'm satisfied with the service i received. they did what they could and i appreciate it! PS being in customer service is hard so don't be rude or unreasonable to these guys, they're not the ones who made the defective vapes read more

So disappointed in this smoke shop. Not only are their prices ridiculously overpriced, but the way they treat customers is honestly shocking. I called with a simple question about whether they carry whip-it crackers, and instead of answering or even being polite, they abruptly hung up on me. The level of rudeness was unbelievable. It felt dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. It's one thing to not carry a product, but it's another to treat a customer like they're an inconvenience for even asking. Their attitude came across as snobby and condescending, like they think they're above basic customer service. I've dealt with plenty of shops before, and this was by far one of the worst interactions I've had. Their customer service is terrible, their behavior is outright rude, and the overall experience left a really bad impression. It's a big store, okay quality with general prices on products, its obvious some things have been in the store for a long time though. Their glass selection is okay, not very pretty and the GOOD designs are very expensive in comparison. They have essentially everything you would need here otherwise though, it's really big in comparison to most smoke shops. The customer service is mid, they're alright, but they tend to completely ignore things that I say unless it pertains to buying something or asking about a product. The customer service at this place is great. A bunch of good guys run the place but some of the employees haven't been really trained and give wrong info and I had to drive back and forth to get it corrected. Also, this place has a serious issue with keeping things in stock. They run out of stuff and I sometimes have to wait weeks for a simple product to come in. Lastly, I have found this place to be sometimes highly over-priced than other smoke shops in the area. One product sold as much as 150% more than another smoke shop I go to in Pleasant Hill. Bought a defective vape here yesterday (puff plus), called about it the day after when they opened since I bought it at 8 pm the night before. I was told no refunds or returns. Thought maybe it was just a dud vape, so I went back the next day and tried a different vape brand (pod stick). To my surprise this vape was also defective where it keeps smoking even when not vaping. In the end spent about $40 on vapes which never worked properly in the first place. Personally I believe this is bad work etiquette and any business that provides products to consumers that are defective without refund or exchange for a working unit is just "dirty business." I will be taking my business elsewhere, where the employer actually takes customer satisfaction seriously. read more

I bought three puff bars. Long story short they were all fake. Two of the codes were already verified when I looked it up. The third one broke as I was opening it, poor quality that I have never experienced with puff bars. The flavors all seemed off. There were small fibers around the top and bottom caps of two of them. I went back in for the broken one and they were kind enough to replace it. But they replaced it with another one that's code was also verified (meaning it's counterfeit). The guy told me that's the first time they ever heard of the problem, but looking at the reviews now I know he's a DAMN LIAR! They said they buy it straight from the manufacturer with DHL shipping. If you're gonna sell fake stuff why are you charging $15 for a puff bar that normally costs $10 at every other smoke shop I've been to. Sell it for the low low at least. Or, here's some advice, don't sell fake shit. Very unhappy, would not recommend going here to anyone. read more

Got to start out by saying, I don't live in the neighborhood so I don't shop here that much. The first time I went to Voltage the guy that helped me was very nice. The next time I went in they were again helpful. Then, about a week ago I was in the neighborhood and went in to buy a teardrop container for juice. I mentioned to the guy that I usually don't go there because it is out of my area. When he put the cartridge on the counter he says that's 10.00. I said what? I buy them for 6, he says well you don't shop here so its ten dollars for you. I told him no thank you, I will not be shopping here anymore... he then told me to have a nice day. people should be aware of the prices, I''m pretty sure this kid (skinny blonde guy) was lining his own pocket with the xtra money he was trying to charge me. This shop has been a favorite of mine for a while. I've spent a lot of my money here on vape pens in particular. Hundreds of dollars. I used to frequent a lot and have always been treated kindly. This last time I went, they had a new employee. A young middle eastern man (maybe in 30s 40s), and he treated me horribly. Embarrassed me in front of other customers, put me down in front of others, complained about me to my face and to the customer next to me. I was appalled. I have a learning disability which makes it hard for me to make decisions. So that's why it takes me a while to decide on a vape pen flavor. I do this all the time. No one has ever given me such a hard rude time about this issue before at this shop. Two other smoke shops: one in Antioch and another In concord by DVC have also called me names and treated me poorly. I've never felt so embarrassed and hurt and shamed In public before, like I was in your shop that day (less than a month ago), I almost started crying in the store. But was able to keep it together. That man should be fired for his complete and utter disrespect towards a woman with a disability!! I'm not sure I will return that store again now, which is a shame because I love the selection. I went in looking for a vaporizer but they had only one under $100 and everything else was $199 and up so I went to Concord cigarettes across the street and wow they have a great selection and their highest price is like $70 or something so I would go there if you're just starting in the vaping. they have everything smoke related at Concord cigarettes just in a more casual environment. read more

Really awful, opportunistic pricing (rip-off). I came in needing a pack of SMOK baby beast coils and a glass since mine had shattered. These guys charged me $29.99 for the coils (2-3X retail price a simple search yielded on google) and another $10 for glass $3-5. My Wismec box mod which works great didn't cost that much. After the terrible experience I had at Voltage Smoke & Gifts I decided to go to a different vape shop in the same area and buy the same exact vape to prove that Voltage is selling fake vaping products. The left picture of the Puff Plus bar was purchased at Voltage Smoke & Gifts. The right picture was purchased at EC Smoke &vape. Although these look like the same vapes if you look closer you can tell that the fake vape is a slightly darker red color and you can also see that the placement of the "5%" is higher up on the fake vape. To further this I looked into fake puff bars from China which are retailed for $2-$5. This means that the owner SAM is buying fake vapes for a quarter of the cost and retailing them to people for the same price as a real Puff Bar KNOWING they might be defective because it ain't the real thing. To further this could put customer health in danger by using counterfeit products. No one said vaping or smoking was safe but at least you know what's actually being put into the REAL thing. NO WONDER HE DOESN'T TAKE RETURNS??????? read more
