Just to mention a few: fresh feta, hummus, shrimps (yumm!), feta mousse, olives oh and so much more. Always friendly staff from the neighbourhood. Go to this Greek influenced place. You'll discover something you'll love so much you decide you can't live without it (in my case dolmades, stuffed wine leaves). Plus you support the locals and not a chain.

But in my many travels, I've learned that you'll never know what great treats you can get from local supermarkets, pharmacies, and convenience stores. Snacks, candies, chocolates, unique foods. Coop is a big retailer in Switzerland where you can buy a variety of things. They have huge aisles just for chocolates. Different Swiss brands, lots of different kinds and sizes, and some European brands as well. It can get pretty overwhelming when you have a tiny grocery basket. I picked up some Ovomaltine, Freya, Cailler, coop store brand chocolates (the dark truffles were divine), and Munz. They have self checkout kiosks so you can scan, bag, pay, and go on with your day.

I would have given them an extra stars, however my last experience there was as follows: I asked for a loaf of bread and as the lady was reaching for it she proceeded to cough all over the rack of bread in front her. No attempt to cover the cough at all. As she grabbed my bread, she again coughed (the good sick cough) on my bread. As she was wrapping my bread, she realized that coughing on me was not an option, so she turned her head and gave a few good coughs into the muffins for sale. I was so shocked I did not know what to do. I notified the company of this and they cared not to respond or give any indication that this is inappropriate behavior. If you want bread, the bakery Stocker towards the Migro has great bread at a fraction of the cost of Marinello.

A very small selection of fresh fruit and veggies, but they were actually fresh; most of the store is packaged goods (soday, coffee, cookies, crackers), with a significant milk-and-eggs section. A fine convenience store, but not a real draw.
