Migros was a solid option to get souvenirs (like chocolates and things), and also lunches pastries drinks etc. They have a great selection of fresh produce, and they also have some serve yourself salad and pastry bars, ready to go salad and pasta boxes, fresh bread, lots of variety of sodas and kombucha, ice cream etc... Pasta boxes and pastries range from 3 CHF to 10 CHF - drinks around the same range, bread as well about 3-6 CHF - if you get an Airbnb or hotel room with a kitchenette you can make breakfasts to save on picking up something from Starbucks (which could set you back about 10-15 CHF for 2 items). Luckily, this supermarket was just a short walk from our Airbnb. The store is well-stocked with everything from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals. We were pleasantly surprised to find a machine that makes fresh orange juice on the spot - my SO was so impressed, he grabbed one right away! I wandered over to the chocolate aisle and was absolutely overwhelmed (in the best way). They had good deals too. So many options! I had a tough time deciding what to bring back for friends. You can pay with either card or cash, and we found the employees friendly and speaks good English. The store was never crowded during any of our visits, which made shopping even more pleasant. Definitely a convenient and well-run spot if you're staying nearby! It's very near the train station. It's clean and organized.

Now, if you're looking to have a great lunch, go to the Coop restaurant for a pay-by-plate price and each day they have different menu options so you can have something unique everyday of the week if you wanted to! On the days where they offer fish n' chips... don't skip it! The fish nuggets have a dill batter & they come with fresh tartar sauce! Need I say more? Chickpeas, lentils, peas, and rice line the shelves. Spices, sauces, pastes, and coconut milk line others. Dried fish, dried fruits, dried noodles, and nut candies were also among the offerings. I was pleased to discover that the market sells products from SE Asia, too. -though I don't think that they carry fish sauce. As I made my way to the counter, I saw that So. Asian magazines were also for sale. The other half of the store, the smell of which permeates throughout, is taken up by the fishmonger. I'd be keen on going back and checking out their selection next time I'm in the 'hood. What with ground cumin (like finding a four-leaf clover) from the El Mais and sesame paste from India Supermarkt, I'm on the way to making hummus once again. Merci vielmal, Zueri!
