Migros is amazing! On a budget in Zurich? (Which is thought regardless lol) Stop by Migros! I visited when it was a holiday so almost everything in the city was closed - including restaurants. Migros was a solid option to get souvenirs (like chocolates and things), and also lunches pastries drinks etc. They have a great selection of fresh produce, and they also have some serve yourself salad and pastry bars, ready to go salad and pasta boxes, fresh bread, lots of variety of sodas and kombucha, ice cream etc... Pasta boxes and pastries range from 3 CHF to 10 CHF - drinks around the same range, bread as well about 3-6 CHF - if you get an Airbnb or hotel room with a kitchenette you can make breakfasts to save on picking up something from Starbucks (which could set you back about 10-15 CHF for 2 items). I make my way through Zurich HB (train station) almost every morning and this Migros is a cheap heavenly little place. Sure, I'll admit I'm horribly biased- I'm not used to big, flaky, moist and tasty .85 cent Gipfels (croissants), or all the other amazing bread products they carry. Migros also has plenty of fresh fruit and veggies, and a few cold coffee choices for something on the go. I always choose this place instead of cute little coffee shops on the way because it's much cheaper (7 CHF can add up each day). Instead of going to the Take Away store drop into the main area because everything is much cheaper. 1 Red Bull, 1 Gipfel, 2 nectarines = 2.80 CHF... helllz yes! *Brushing up on my German... this is an experiment to see how much my German improves... or if I get too frustrated to keep this up :) Please forgive me* Ein Migros ist sehr gut. Often crowded, except on Sundays... when it's hellishly packed. Why? Besides a central location in RailCity / ShopVille under Zürich HB, this Migros stays open on Sundays. Coming back from a Sunday hike, this is the last reliable milk-and-bread stop before I get home. read more

This Migros is one of the busiest Migros in Zurich. All sorts of people from all walks of life shop here, especially if it's a public holiday such as Easter, Christmas or Labor Day - you can count on this Migros being open and overrun with people. I admire how clean and orderly it always is. Whether you shop here at 10 at night or early in the morning, the shelves are always stocked and they always have a ton of fresh produce at any given time. As of recently, they added a self check-out and finally got rid of that stupid system where you line up and they call you when a cashier is free. Since I mostly use this now I can't say anything about the cashiers, but before that they were always friendly if also a little exhausted and stressed because of all the crazy customers, which are abound at this particular location. read more

This is not the Migros I usually shop, but for late nuts and specially on sundays it's a great supermarket to do groceries! It isn't the biggest Migros, but it does have all one really need! read more

If you're Zurich and want something to eat that is fast, healthy and won't break the bank, look no further than the Migros Takeaway that is in the underground mall under the Hauptbahnhof. Migros is a popular chain of grocery stores but Migros Takeaway specializes in ready to eat food that ranges from salad to wraps and even sushi. My friend and I visited this place for lunch on both days when we were in Zurich for a quick bite to eat. I usually go with the Curry Chicken Wrap which sells for around 6-7 CHF. After we get our food, we'll usually find some seating right outside Migros Takeaway and just eat and people watch. The best part is that a lot of locals are doing the same thing which is getting something simple and eating it on the go so you'll feel just like an local! read more

Great grab and go pastries and supermarket place at many train stations in Switzerland. The selection of ready made food is good and includes pizza, pasta, burgers amongst other items. We had flumkuchen pizza bread and pretzels from here which were tasty and reasonably (locally) priced. We also had sweet nutty pretzels and pastries. I would use this place again. read more

I was stuck in Zürich on Sunday and this grocery store was one of the few shops that were open. It's a great location and they have an excellent variety of products. Staff was as friendly as could be especially considering how hectic the store is when it's full of customers. read more
