However, I was more sold on the double G&Ts for £4, it's definitely worth coming to C&D just for that. Anyway, onto the food. We ordered half a antipasti sharing board as a starter, which including a rather large wedge of brie (which we thought was an interesting choice of cheese). Beer battered courgette fries and and a beef jerky pizza. The pizza base was good, if a little small but the topping was a bit too salty. The customer service was great, we had some issues with our drinks but they were quickly resolved. We paid £50 for a sharing board, pizza, side, 2 half pints of beers and 4 double g&ts - definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, the drinks selection and food beats the main pizza chains hands down and is great value for money.

The food took a little while but that was to be expected with how busy the place was and a big group had managed to get there order in first. We took the time to enjoy our beers. The pizza was brilliant, I loved the addition of the frazzles. Something that shouldn't be on a pizza but worked brilliantly! Customer service was also top notch. The guys couldn't apologise enough for the food taking a while (although it was only to be expected with the place being so small and the size of some of the groups). It wasn't that long anyway. I've waited longer for food at big chain restaurants. I throughly enjoyed it and will be going back as soon as I get the chance!

I mainly came in to use the toilet and possibly get a drink before heading onto the tram, with services running quite infrequently in a wasted opportunity for what is actually a decent tram network - but that's a different story. The toilets were well hidden, the only toilet was a disabled toilet but the entrance through a heavy door with a slight bump and turning didn't appear to be too disabled friendly. The toilets were disgusting too - they not only smelled bad but it was blocked and by the looks of things it appeared to have been that way for a while. There were no staff on the shop floor, unlike some branches which seem to be moving forward in terms of technology they did appear to have more of a manned till here to order and pay, but that seemed to be poorly mismanaged and it felt like at an airport where everyone hounded the desk after a cancelled flight for example. It is very busy due to its location but it handles this situation quite well, as there always seems to be seating available on either floor. For a McDonalds, it is decent. It wasn't busy, perhaps one third full and they had a pleasant, unpushy lady at the entrance tempting in passing trade. Once inside we waited at the desk for several minutes until we were scooped up by a passing waiter and offered a choice of seating (inside\outside) Service was slow but I did feel sorry for our waitress as there were obviously few staff on duty. I chose a steak wrap with fries and son chose fish fingers with fries. My steak wrap (tender strips of prime steak with red onion and peppers smothered in sauce) held a goodly amount of fat and sauce and a few bits of onion, lean meat and peppers. I'm told the fish fingers were nice. For desert we both chose fruit salad (because we care about out bodies) but there was good news and bad news. Good news the fruit was fresh. Bad news we knew this because there were still bits of pineapple skin in there. My son was a little put out because the menu assured him that he would get three fruits he likes and so he didn't mind giving away his kiwi but when his dish arrived there had been major substitutions made. We had opted for special deal meals but the price was still too high for the quality of food. As to portion size well, they wouldn't amuse a real New Yorker!
