I need to warn everyone about my recent experience with 2545 Salon & Spa (875 Gibsons Way #102)…read more On October 14, 2025 I paid $93.45 (tax in) for an "Unlimited Monthly Tanning Pass". What actually happened: -Used it successfully only three times. -Next three visits (during posted hours) the salon was randomly closed. The first 2 times had no notice. The third time, just a sticky note saying "understaffed, appointments only and to call the Sechelt location. -I called asking what was going on and if I could get a refund or extension since I tried numerous times to use my package. It's only for a month so I only have so much time to use it and when the hours on google are posted as OPEN, I should be able to access the beds. Owner Lauralye replied by email, said I was being aggressive on the phone and banned me. Completely false information. I never even raised my voice so this one threw me for a loop. When I kept asking for my money back, she permanently banned me in the same email thread. They offered a partial refund which was never received. I left a 100% factual 1-star Google review with receipts attached they got it removed/hidden. Now they are leaving themselves fake google review. Laughable. When I kept pushing, they threatened me with legal action and accused me of being "aggressive" (I have every email -- I was nothing but polite the entire time). Zero refund, zero apology. So yeah - they have no problem stealing people's hard-earned money, then threatening to sue you if you dare speak up. I cannot believe I have to go through this for ninety-three freaking dollars that they simply decided to keep. I have my receipt, and the entire email chain (including the ban, the legal threats, the fake "aggressive" accusation, and the deleted review). Happy to privately show everything to anyone who messages me. Please think twice before you hand this place any prepaid money - tanning packages, gift cards, whatever. I've now had to file with Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) and my credit card company for a chargeback. Just posting this so nobody else in Gibsons loses almost $100 and then gets threatened for daring to complain. Sad that it has come to this but I have exhausted every option and tried my best to deal with this privately. Unfortunately I have been pushed too far. It's almost Christmas and these days, every dollar makes a difference. This is my hard earned money after all. Support local... but not when the local business keeps your money, deletes your review, and threatens to sue you for telling the truth.

It was a destination wedding so no trial which had me a little anxious but I showed her two pictures of what I wanted to make up and hair and then bam, I was madeover and felt fabulous! Also, at 12 hours after the team did my hair and make up, my curls were still intact and my make up only needed blotting, one powder retouch and a gloss after eating. No concealer creasing, no brow fading, I was thrilled. It was exactly what I wanted and also they were just fabulous additions to our day as we spent the whole morning with the bridal party. Also, she offered to fix up my hair after the ceremony (as it was probably a mess with the rain and the little hike we did) even though she wasn't the one that did my hair -- that was very thoughtful and sweet of her. She really did go an extra step with her services!!! Natacha also did our ceremony and we loved every bit of it. She made the time to meet us days before the wedding. We are so grateful that she took the time to meet with us days before the wedding -- as we are not from British Columbia, that meant a lot to us. Throughout the process (from beginning to the end) the connection and communication was great! She took the time to get to know us and our story. We also love the fact that she made our wedding vows extra special by painting a card of the venue -- for keepsake. It turned out beautifully! When I called, I found out that it was very inexpensive for a blowout and ensured I had someone that could deal with thick and a lot of hair. Unfortunately, when I got here, the gal was so nice and kind, but she just didn't know how to manage my hair. Just not as well trained in the way she held or used my brush or hairdyer. Understandably, I have difficult hair to deal with. Takes me a long time to dry my hair. It was a nice try, and less work for me in the end. We ended up with just a straight blowout, no waves. I went back to the hotel and had the bridesmade stylist quick fix it for me. My number one test for any haistylist to start trimming my hair is a blowout. If they can't pass that test, no way scissors are coming near my hair. Not many options around the area, so just ensure you have someone that can work with all kinds of hair here and you may be okay. The staff is very nice though.

I just have one suggestion. This was an en suite massage. She uses coconut oil that needed to be warmed up. Without asking ,she used one of the mugs in our kitchenette as well as our utensils. It probably would have been better if she had brought her own. Some of the coconut oil was still there when she left. This wasn't a big deal, and shouldn't take away from the fact that she's a great massage therapist! I would use her again!

When I had met Lise and spent more time around her, she had suggested microblading. I was toying with the idea ; as you usually would when trying something new. And I finally gave in and gave it a go! I am so happy that I did. She may have made me an addict . Lise knew exactly how I wanted my brows shaped, and that I wanted a natural look. I found this spa on Google map and made a booking via email. The only mistake I made was not…read morechecking or confirming the price of the massage. I was charged $10 more than what was stated on the website price list. I was too relaxed and not alert to verify and destroy the sense of tranquility during payment. There was no cash register and it was a handwritten receipt. I didn't realize the spa is inside a residential home when I made the booking. There is no proper parking area and you will have to park by the side of the busy highway between Davis Bay and Sechelt. Linda does attach pictures of where to park in the email. There is also no sign of where the spa is except for the small sign hanging outside the garage door with the house number. At first I thought it is inside the garage but after walking around it, it didn't seem possible. I finally figured out I had to walk down the steps and through a walkway into a garden. I was still filled with trepidation that I could be trespassing and entering a wrong place. At the house, there was another small sign pointing to where the spa was. It was by the side of the house with a separate entry. The treatment room was lovely. It contained two beds so you could have a couple session. The room looked out into the ocean which was beautiful. Unfortunately since you would be lying face down most of the time, you don't really get to enjoy it. The massage was excellent! Linda was really good and I felt the knots disappeared from my body and I was really relaxed at the end of the treatment. Now that I know where to park and how to get into the spa, i will definitely book another session with Linda when I'm in the area again.
