Staff is very friendly and fluent with Dutch and English! Close to the train station and downtown Delft - near a nice canal as well as many other huge box stores, including bedding and garden furniture and landscaping. If I only owned a car rather than bike I'd buy a lot more!

The exterior of the store is quite impressive for a mall location which is a tribute to The Passage, the shopping arcade which dates back to the 19th century. The interior seems a little lacklustre and dull compared to other Apple Stores, it seems like they have a lot of empty "nothing" space, and the big screen was turned off, the only seating around the store was hard wooden seating, with a lack of alternatives, compared to the cushioned stools, most other stores have. A decent selection of Apple tech and the staff seems friendly enough and helpful, yet not bothering customers too much other than with a greeting, which is what I like. 3* - Certainly a let-down compared to other Apple stores, it feels a bit like a half-assed attempt, but some positives for sure.

You can't even stand for a millisecond without having a very cheery associate assist you. Here they looked at me...she's not Dutch. She doesn't look Dutch so why bother speaking English. I even asked one of them to get me a mgr and he said based on what i said I don't need a manager. But then he wouldn't give me his name. I finally found a female mgr and introduced my angry self to her. And she apologised profusely. They just need to include anti racism training. They were more inclined to assist the "Dutch" customers...when apple is worldwide... I'm not one of those people who raises the race card inadvertently...I'm Nigerian. We are all black. We have a warm welcome to anyone who is not (which is how it should be worldwide) However, when I'm spending money and you disrespect me...I don't like it. The product is not free. I worked hard for that money. What I had to buy was less than 2 yrs old, why does it not have longevity? I'm standing there as fat and as blonde as I am and you pass me like you don't notice me.,.say it isn't so? This is a far cry from Apple stores in America. De Bijenkorf Rotterdam is one of the largest department stores in the city, located a short walk…read moreaway from Stadhuis, on Coolsingel, it is located in a very impressive building, opening in 1956. It is a high-end department store chain, with the same ownership as Selfridge and Co in the UK, the stores do appear to be very similar to what I'm used to with Selfridge and Co back home, especially in terms of the appearance of the exterior. The main difference for me is the absence of a Food Hall (This particular location does have a Cafe though). The upmarket prices and vibes remain in most areas of the store, I do find some of the store's clothing sections to have vibes most similar to a market, rather than an upmarket department store though. The staff are very friendly and offer good service, with good product knowledge to explain beauty and fragrance products in detail, with benefits when appropriate. It is over multiple levels, with a decent number of escalators/lifts, and toilet facilities. A large department store with good service and a good selection of products, certainly worth a browse when looking to shop or kill some time in Rotterdam. 4*
