Vlad did a great job taking down an old pergola last time so when I needed some more work around the house I reached out a second time. He did some random little things but the thing that stands out is this light fixture. I installed it myself (or should I say tried to) and it looked horrible, so I had some else come out and install it and he did a much better job than I did, but it still was lose and showed a gap. So I purchased a goof ring and had Vlad install that and not only did he install the goof ring to hide the fact the whole was too big, but he actually tightened it enough that it looks good. Started having difficulty from the beginning. He said he was available to come on the next Tuesday and I replied Ok. The next Tuesday morning came and I was wondering how he was going to come without ever asking for the address. Since, I contacted to confirm he was still coming. He says we never agreed on a time. Me saying OK to his suggested day and time and not refusing or suggesting a different date was me agreeing. I don't know why he didn't follow up if he wasn't sure if I agreed to the time. Miscommunication? I then agreed to reschedule for another day. I had 4 things for him to work on plus get a quote for a 5th item that could be done at another time. 2 items (fixing a gate and installing a replacement wall switch in a bathroom) went fine. Cutting a shower door seal was sloppy. He tried cutting it without removing it from the door and the cut came out uneven with the glass. I could have done an uneven cut myself with heavy duty scissors. I paid him to cut it so it would look professional. I let that go without saying anything because the issue was minor enough to not be worth the effort to buy a new strip to fix it. He was also supposed to replace a non-working motion sensor with a brand new replacement. He installed the new sensor without testing and checking that it was working. He just told me it was done and I trusted him. When night came the next day, I noticed motion was not triggering the light to turn on like it was supposed to. I contacted him the next day and he said he would get back to me later to let me know when he would come back to adjust it. A week goes by and he never calls back. I contact him again through Yelp and he now ghosts with no more response. I have already paid a different contractor to fix the motion sensor installation which now works as expected, but I had to pay twice for the same job. read more

We hired Vlad for a complicated job. We needed him to route a wire through a wall, into another room in order to connect our security cameras to our wifi modem. We weren't sure if this would get done behind walls or through the attic or what. I was clear I wanted a finished job and no holes left for me to patch up, with wall plates. He said he had done something like this before and accomplished our request by drilling holes into the outer walls of both rooms. And ran the wire along the roof on the outside of our house, hidden under our gutters I think. It looked clean and professionally done.
