The structures on the property were old, which was nice because all the other vineyards we've been to were new. We had a nice tasting outside. The service was great. Our wine pourer spoke perfect English, but did let us practice Spanish too. We bought a bottle of the Malbec. I'm drinking it right now with a risotto. I would recommend stopping here for a different feel than a majority of the other vineyards

Three wine tastings for 150 Argentine peso (US $10). Also has a pretty good cafe with rustic Italian food, which is great after a cold day of riding bikes through the vineyards. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pro tip: order your lunch before you go on the tour, and it will be ready when you are finished with the tasting!

The one benefit of visiting Trapiche is you get access to some bottles that don't even make it to the US and they're definitely producing much higher quality wines than the Malbec you see in Costco.

A mix of modern and old decor. Our tour guide was amazing. She presented the tour in a mix of English and Spanish. We chatted with her for a while. ¡Ella era cupado! We had a tasting after the tour. The bonarda was excellent! I could have stayed half a day eating snacks and drinking wine. But we arrived late - they were setting up for dinner. Tastings end at 6.

Mr. Hugo's was the bike rental company that our hostel recommended. We took the local bus (you'll…read moreneed a loaded Red Bus card) to get there. We told the bus driver we wanted to go to Mr. Hugo's and the stop is really close to there. We checked in and the girl there have us a map and explained their recommended route and also gave us a coupon for free empanadas at the wine bar! Then we met the legendary Mr. Hugo himself who was a super nice and friendly man! They gave us bikes and they worked great. The guy who helped me had me get on my bike to test it out and adjusted my seat for me. They also said if we ran into any problems, to call them and they would come help out (we didn't have any problems, but a girl at my hostel got a flat tire the other day and she called them at the next winery and they came right away with a different bike for her). We used the bikes all afternoon and they did the job great. When we returned the bikes later, they gave us cold refreshing lemonade, perfect for the hot day. There was also a super cute puppy there. There's also free wifi! Great bikes and great service!!! Gracias Mr. Hugo and team!!!

We came to this museum and tasting room as a last minute change to our original itinerary since the…read moretasting reservation we had elsewhere fell through unexpectedly. This place was close to where we were and although it was Monday it was open for visits without the need for a reservation (a lot of wineries are closed to visitors on Mondays). The cost for the museum guided visit and a tasting of their two 'museum' wines as 390 Argentinian pesos per person (~7US$) and that amount could then be used as a credit at the tasting room/wine shop after the completion of the tour. The tour was actually nice and interesting, not too long since the museum itself is rather small, but we got to see several instruments and equipment used in the wine making process which dated back to the 1500s. The wines we tasted as part of the tour were awful but we then got to taste a few Ruttini wines which were actually decent, most notably their gewurztraminer. If you're already in this area then stopping by for a visit to this museum could be a nice addition to your itinerary, however I don't think it's worth going out your way to come here just for the tour.

Any tour may cost you lots of money. Well here they do it for free and with a smile. The wine is pretty good. The food is good too. We went in a Sunday. Be aware many bodegas and tours don't work or operate sundays in Maipu. We took a train from Mendoza to Maipu and just walk from the train station to the bodega. Is pretty close. You can rent a bike... when we went the bike rental site was closed --_-- However, we discover that we didn't need to spend $200-400 dollars to get to experience some good wine and bodegas. Check my other reviews and you will see that we explore the bodegas without spending hundreds of dollars. For me Bodegas Lopez was a first great experience.

The wine was beyond compare to the many visits to napa and riverside county wineries in the USA. MENDOZA WINE is the best that I have experienced and domiciano is the gem of the of the maipu wine district. The food was flavorful and the service not stuffy but impeccably done and genuinely nice staff. The wine tour tasting was done in such a slow and methodical manner that can only be described as a reeducation in the art of vino. They have an extensive wine list an extensive food menu and a beautiful serene environment in which one can truly enjoy the mendoza wine region
