One of the most beautiful vineyards when we visited Mendoza. To be clear though, we only went to four, so take that with a grain of salt.
This was the first stop of our self-guided wine bike tour, but I wish it were the last. The bar got set pretty high at the beginning and resulted in steady disappointment thereafter.
The vineyard is sprawling and absolutely breathtaking. As we entered the space, we caught a glimpse of workers picking fresh grapes from the vine and loading them onto a truck. We were greeted with a glass of rose, left our bags at the table overlooking the vineyard and began our tour.
The tour was done in both English and Spanish so there was ample time for either freshening up on our Spanish and snagging some loose grapes to taste off the vine (shhh, don't tell). It was great to learn about how the vines are grown, the grapes are harvested and the processing of the product. We got to try another glass of malbec right from the tank which had only matured half-way. And then when the tour ended, we were treated with a few more tastings, supplemented with bread and homemade olive oil (delish).
Loved it, would've come back a second time if we had the time to additional enjoy food in the beautiful space. read more
