They explained that the best they could do was send the phone away, Have the battery replaced, and get it back to me within a week time. Under normal circumstances, this would not have a problem, but I explained I was leaving in two days and I had important material on the phone that I was desperate to preserve. They explained that there was a possibility I could lose the texts and photos, and that the battery could possibly explode ruining the phone. My chances were 50-50. Ultimately after roughly an hour and a half wait I decided to take my phone and chance it making it through a flight home. They explained everything thoroughly, very well, and worked to help me find a solution. I would most definitely recommend this store to any tourists, Americans - English speakers, if you have any Apple needs while you're in the area.

Everything installed fine and the eSIM worked as soon as I arrived in Europe as expected. I received an email saying I would have to submit passport info to keep the eSIM activated. I did all that online and had no issues. Calls, texts, etc. including to the US all work as expected. The challenge I ran into was trying to extend the time on the SIM, which is valid for 14 days initially. Tried to do it online and Orange Travel site kept telling me it couldn't find my account. I tried to call Orange, but their menu system is entirely in French. I do not speak French well and the system disconnected me. I tried contacting them online. Two days later, someone wrote back to me telling me how to call them - the same line that is French-only. I actually ended up figuring out how to solve my own problem, added time to the eSIM and am continuing to use it. So, the middle-of-the road review is because the eSIM works great. The customer service is absolutely useless. I received an email asking me to write a review of the service. The form was in French, which I translated in my browser, but when I put in all the information, the submit button never activated. Thanks to Google Translate, I wrote them a "glowing" bad review in French and emailed it to them. In short, the eSIM works (if your phone supports one). You can buy it in advance in the US and install it, activating it when you arrive in Europe. It is cheaper than my home service roaming charges. However, IF YOU NEED SUPPORT, I would suggest finding another company or, as some reviewers did, go to the Orange Travel store in person. I went in and was surprised by how fair the pricing was! I paid only 25 euros for my battery to be replaced with a brand new one and it's working great! It used to die after like an hour of use and now I had it fully charged last night and it has lasted me all day. I'm so happy! I also purchased a tempered glass screen protector there and it's really nice :) I'm very happy with their services here and I would recommend going there to anyone. They also fix screens, sell other mobile phone accessories, and they have computers in the back where people can pay a small fee to use the internet. Their prices seemed very fair to me. Back in the US I paid around 75 euros at a similar shop to have my screen fixed on an iPhone 4s and this shop did it for around 35 euros I think... That's a massive difference!
