The Glass House mountains in the distance on a clear day are worth the trip in itself. The gardens are nice, but because of the time of year, weren't in full bloom. However, the bird world was the icing on the cake. So many birds of all shapes and sizes. Many of them are friendly and will land on your arms, shoulders, head, feet, or anywhere else that they can perch in hopes of a snack or good conversation. If you're afraid of birds, don't come here. Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area who wants to see the garden and birds, or just a great view with some snacks from the gift shop.

The venue is in a magnificent rainforest setting with majestic trees all around and little creek meandering through it all. We were greeted with champagne cocktails followed by four courses of marvellous food - Chef Dave's Shrimp appetisers were to die for.... and that was just a start! We were then delighted with a roast dinner and sumptuous desserts, etc. The atmosphere was wonderful, the place decorated beautifully with stunning table settings, chair covers, etc. Everyone was up on the dance floor... how could we resist....the music was awesome! This was a beautiful, elegant and fun evening which we will always remember. We hope to return again!

These suites are 1 bedroom, fully self-contained resort apartments with huge spa baths in the ensuites. Upon arrival, the receptionist (Rachel) completed our check in with friendly enthusiasm, recommended a local day spa according to her personal experience and advised us of nearby restaurants and bars to visit. She then wished us a great stay and offered her assistance if we needed anything else. We also requested a pamper package to be added to our stay - when we arrived in our room we found a bottle of champagne in the fridge with 2 chilled glasses, a box of Lindt chocolates and 2 large bottles of delicious smelling bath scrubs and oils. Impressed. As the units are self contained there isn't any room service meals available - however housekeeping do come through the apartments if you show your "Please make up my room" signs and make the beds and provide fresh towels and tidy up. The pool area was always clean and inviting, the beach was directly across the road and all the suites face the ocean. The cost of staying here was not cheap - but considering what it is and how impressed we were with the service I feel like it was definitely worth it. I can honestly say I don't have anything bad to say about my experience with this resort. We've already decided to go back for a weekend stay as soon as we can - reception advised us on checkout they would do what they could to get us the same great room again. Will recommend this resort to anyone!

Spa in the ensuite, with a TV in the bedroom that can be rotated to be seen from the spa. With a pamper package thrown in, you can have a nice champagne and a chocolate while watching your favourite show. We had the luck of having the room from which they had taken the advertisement photo from - literally picture perfect views. I'm not generally a sucker for views but it was nice. Kitchen and living area were immaculate and very nice (check out the pictures!), plus air con throughout. This place is perfect for a weekend getaway where you really want to enjoy spending your time where you are staying and not feel like you need to go out. I paid $762 in peak season for 3 nights and a pamper package, which included bubbly (actually nice, too), Lindt chocolate box, massage oil, exfoliator scrub and a loofa. While it wasn't the cheapest option I have absolutely no regret in what I paid, and feel it was justified. The places are kept really clean, and I spied someone cleaning the lifts, too. My partner and I plan on coming back.

The best part about the water park is that it has a little cafe attached to it. So it was easy to jump out and get snacks for the kids without having to dress everyone. The proximity to the beach was great. There was a supermarket next door and lots of food options in the area. Our room was decent. It took a little longer to get into the room than we would have liked and no one called to tell us it was ready (they said they would). All in all a great place and we are planning to come back.

The resort offers a restaurant and bar - but the main draw card was the kids water pool playground area. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The room looked liked it had been recently refurbished. It had modern furniture and decor with a lovely kitchen area. My only dislikes about the hotel were :- 1. The room was very very Dusty.. Thank God the hubby had some Telfast on hand! I was sneezing away and had terribly itchy eyes and nose.. :( 2. The noise from outside our room from other guests in the hall ways and car park were really loud.. And also the constant slamming of doors from other rooms front doors was so annoying.. Overall, the hotel is okay if your staying for a short time and have kids to entertain.. But, the price point is quite high in my opinion..

The room last time we stayed was getting a little bit tired (ageing and cleaning). This time, our room has been painted quite recently, a different cleaning standard and is very adequate for us. The resort only has queen beds available in the 1 bedroom units so we chose a studio this time simply because they come with king beds (that can be split into singles) so we can sleep more comfortably... And that is why we are here... To sleep and rest. Fitted with a small (but functional and complete) kitchenette rather than a full sized kitchen in the 1 bedroom, if we felt the urge to cook, we can certainly make do. The huge lagoon style pools & multiple spas set throughout the tropical setting is really nice. I'd give the resort and the surrounds 4 stars, because that is what it deserves... but the location adds the 5th star. Directly across the road to the beach, surf break, patrolled beach, cafe (and beer) it's perfect for us. It's also under 1.5km to all the restaurants and cafés in Mooloolabah, meaning a good walk each way from dinner if that's what we choose to do. Great Value + location = 5 stars (what you get for what is 'expected')

We've stayed here twice, once in a one bedroom queen apartment and on the latest occasion in a studio king. Both times our impression has been that the rooms are clean & comfortable and perfect for a budget style holiday. The one bedroom we had could have done with a bit of a fix up (was a bit tired looking) but we were very happy with the studio and though maybe it had been given a luck of paint recently. The perks of self contained mean that you get a mini laundry for the sandy towels (great if you are traveling with young kids too). A well stocked kitchenette gives you options if you feel the need to cook, with pans, a kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery plus you get a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and a stovetop. I was just happy to see wine glasses & separate champagne glasses in the cupboard. Now that's what I called stocked for a holiday. The location is perfect being just across the road from the beach and the Alex Head surf club. It is a pleasant walk over the hill to Mooloolaba for a plethora of dining options and there is no shortage of activities in this part of the coast to keep you occupied. Just down the road is a pub with a bottle shop attached so if you forget the bubbles for those champagne glasses you don't have to go too far to stock up! Whilst I think this place is perfect for families, as a couple we didn't feel out of place on a mid winter weekend getaway or a week long holiday in the summer months. I'd definitely recommend this resort to people and I'm sure we'll be back again some time soon.

Rooms are comfortably large. Yes, they are a bit outdated (brick walls with faux wood paneled closet, pink toilet) - but wasn't in any sense tacky at all. The previous review stated that the bedspread was outdated but I thought ours wasn't (classy white with a silver/gray runner at the foot of the bed). We booked two separate rooms (one for us, one for my parents). Unfortunately we didn't think to request that the rooms to be adjoining because we did notice our room had a door to the next room (occupied/locked) - but next time we will do so! There is a mini refrigerator, toaster, and electric kettle for your use. You can request microwave if you should need one. There are BBQs to use (must reserve). There is a pool for use during the day time. Trust me, you don't want to head there at night. Tennis court too. Our rooms had adjoining balcony with a great view of the hinterland rainforest. All around a comfortable stay and one we will definitely consider again in the future for a quick getaway!
