What triggered me to write this review? Well after a posting of a recent Yelp gig, a friend remarked to me that I looked like - "Drakes producer" in one of the pics!!! LMAO! Ok do I even know how to play the flute if my life depended on it, to let alone be worthy of being positioned in front of a production board!?! Hahaha! Don't even ask me to rap or sing - especially if you value your hearing!!! Regardless I'll take the accolade & if anyone wants one - my new business card now reads below my name - 'Drakes Producer.' LOL. Ian has the knack for capturing that 'cool factor moment!' He's snapped me so many times & had me looking all GQ! I've said to myself at times about my own pics he's taken - who is that cause wow! Hahaha! Vanity speaking I guess! Ian has worked with Rockstar Energy Drink, Budweiser, Swatch, UberEats, Yelp! Vancouver & many others! He's very well travelled & has taken pics all over the world. From the events I've been to - I've seen the result when the pics come out - he has an amazing ability to capture that precise special moment & the pics glow! I can't say enough good things about Holly & Roger, the owners of Union Photography…read more First, they were so gracious about meeting my husband Ian and I before the wedding to make sure we had all the planning details right, and accepted our request to have them meet our parents. One time we even hung out with them in their cute studio drinking lattes for 2 hours talking about Switzerland! They were unwaveringly prompt in replying to questions, professional, organized about what we needed them to do for us, and always offered a smile and a sunny disposition. At the event, Roger literally ran around to make sure he used up every second possible to get in good photographs. Ian and I didn't have to be in charge of what photos we wanted - Roger knew beforehand and herded us around to get great pictures. He's clearly experienced, as he made sure we looked good for each pose before he snapped the shot and so we didn't have to stand around long for each picture. He also was great at commanding Ian's boisterous family! Holly obviously loves what she does and is so sweet in working with her clients. She's always grinning, giggling, or shedding a genuine tear from the happiness of her job. She got some really great candids of our guests! All in all Holly & Roger were great to hang out with on the day, and that can mean a lot since you spend so much time near them. The photos are great quality, and we've gotten lots of compliments on their art. I definitely see the value in what we paid for - worth every penny.

The first photographer we found decided that they would not do the photobooth that we had requested. We are so happy that we found Lydia last minute. She exceeded all expectations and saved the day. We met them initially for a consultation and quote, and during this time Phoebe and the team were extremely thorough, answering any questions we had and taking their time going through the type of work they provide. After seeing their style and comparing them with a few other local vendors we knew they were the right fit for us. I also wanted to minimize the number of overall vendors i worked with, so by Hera being a full-serviced film company where i could get all of this in one place was a plus for me. Communication was clear and easy throughout the planning process and they were very accommodating with any changes. They took the time to know us as a couple, which showed clearly through the photos and videos they took. Josh, our photographer, made us also feel very comfortable during our photography sessions which was a huge deal, considering we're not the natural type of couples when it comes to these things! On your wedding day you get caught up with so many things that sometimes you aren't able to see and absorb everything at that moment in time, and Hera was able to capture those moments of my friends and family when i wasn't there to see it myself. Now that i look back at my photos (including photobooth pictures!) and videos, I'm able to reminisce on that day and have those memories with me for years to come in exceptional quality. Thanks Hera!
