What triggered me to write this review? Well after a posting of a recent Yelp gig, a friend remarked to me that I looked like - "Drakes producer" in one of the pics!!! LMAO! Ok do I even know how to play the flute if my life depended on it, to let alone be worthy of being positioned in front of a production board!?! Hahaha! Don't even ask me to rap or sing - especially if you value your hearing!!! Regardless I'll take the accolade & if anyone wants one - my new business card now reads below my name - 'Drakes Producer.' I was on a tight schedule and Kim was kind enough to work with my timelines by opening on a Tuesday when they are usually closed. The shop is in a strip mall in Richmond - - close to the skytrain and easy to find. It's quiet, tastefully decorated and the changing area is huge and well lit with natural light. I tried on several dresses and never felt rushed or pressured. Sizing is not a concern because alterations are included with rentals. The whole experience was delightful. I would highly recommend Mr & Mrs Wedding's rental services if you, like me, are not interested in hanging on to a gown that you will only wear once.

Since we didn't get to get ready together on her real wedding day, I hired Michael to capture some photos of all the sisters getting ready, and I'm so glad I did! He didn't do our engagement photos, but we met up to discuss our suggestions and ideas, and he also provided some input when we shared our concerns about lighting at the ceremony. He captured our moments beautifully, both at the ceremony and reception. We also spent a few hours taking photos with our wedding party at some specific outdoor locations, in which he and his partner followed in their own vehicle. The quality of his photos were great, and he was fun to work with. When we weren't sure how to stage ourselves for a photo, he'd offer some guidance. During our reception, he displayed a slideshow of the moments he captured througout the day, and I thought that was a nice touch. We spoke little to each other throughout the day because I was confident in his ability to photograph all that was going on. His style is appropriate at various times, where he is able to capture the mood during the more ceremonial moments and at dinner time when everyone was more relaxed. He provided us with all the photographs at the end, and a beautiful coffee book that I still look at to remind me of that day. Gives me butterflies every time I look at the photos.
