I don't have extended health benefits, so when I found out about Eight Branches, I hot tailed my…read morebutt there. Eight Branches has a teaching clinic that treats clients. Because it's a school, there is usually 3 people residing over your treatment (1 primary and 2 secondaries). You'll be asked a lot of questions about your health and any issues you have. They then leave for about 5 minutes deciding how to treat you. I teach yoga and if you can believe it, I get tight in my upper back (all those downward dogs), so sometimes I'll get a massage (Tuina, a chinese massage that is done over your clothes and feels amazing; cupping, which is a deep massage but if you love deep tissue massage, it's AWESOME!!! You will have marks on your backs though - they do fade; sometimes Shiatsu). They also do acupuncture (of course). They will also prescribe herbs if needed. The cost is $20 a session (the session is about 1.5 hours), but if you get a living green card, it's $15/session. Go...just go.

I've never gone for student treatments, just gone to see regular practioners at this clinic. i've…read moregone for both acupuncture and shiatsu massage. In which case, cost is more than student-run, but still very reasonable I think compared to many other places. The practioners there are excellent, so knowledgeable and intuitive and treat all sorts of issues. Very comfortable, professional, and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are struggling with some sort of issue and not sure what can be done about it. I think they can help or point you in the right direction.

Based on my personal experience, I have found the quality of service at this educational…read moreinstitution to be extremely poor. The management is unhelpful and fails to take responsibility. Furthermore, the teaching is unprofessional, and I encountered dishonesty from faculty members. I was frequently met with rudeness, and my specific questions and complaints were consistently ignored or avoided. I strongly advise against this education network to prevent further disappointment.

While the administration claims to care about students, treat everyone fairly, and be anti-racist…read moreand anti-discrimination, profs are very biased, especially towards the IMG (international medical graduate students)... it kinda looks likes that the profs are jealous of their IMG students!!! Many of them are also very impatient with students whose first language is not English and are very disconnected from the students. Most profs and staff at this college don't show any understanding and compassion towards students, have rude and discriminatory behaviour, and fail to provide fair accommodations to students. I will NEVER recommend this college to any of my friends or acquaintances interested in continuing education or those looking for naturopathic services. In terms of school, they are racist. In terms of treatment centre, they overcharge and rarely do anything for patients. I think the only reason this college with its rude and racist staff is still even in business is that it is the only naturopathic college in Toronto.

At first I thought it seemed pricy, since it was 55 dollars for an hour (only if you go with someone) this includes equipment rental. But once the session was over I was very tired. It's was literally a 60 min workout. Normally the hills around here take like 5 min to get down and you ride the lift back up and so you get long breaks in between. But here at the indoor snowboarding it's 60 min of pure boarding so my legs were really feeling it when I was done. I don't think I would even get this much boarding in if I went to blue Mountain for the day. It Anyways if you're looking to learn how to board this is definitely a great place since you will spend less time falling and riding the lift and more time getting use to boarding. Will definitely come back for more lessons!
