Once you're ready, you're then escorted to a waiting area where they serve you some goodies and a drink ( tea, cucumber water, or wine). The waiting area is so beautiful and relaxing. After we changed, we were taken to a small lounge with comfortable chaises for each of us. We were offered champagne or another drink, as well as hot or cold neck wraps. The air was filled with a gentle scent and there was nice music playing softly. Next was a trip to the massage room where we indulged in massages that not only focused on our necks, backs and shoulders, but arms, faces and heads as well. Very relaxing. When the massages were over (far too soon!), we were escorted back to the original lounge where we could recover for as long as we wished. All in all, a wonderful experience. I called Saturday, December17th and left a message only to be greeted early this Monday morning (12/19) by a warm and welcoming Ana Maria on the phone. We discussed my needs and set a date for early January to have my first massage as she was very heavily booked through the end of the year. Lucky for me someone canceled and I was able to see her today at 12:15. VERY lucky actually. Ana Maria was even more welcoming, engaged and informative in person. She truly does want to hear what particularly "ails" you and works to design a session around it. She does not believe in a one stop shop for all clients...It really was so personally directed to what may work for me. Just walking in the door to her location was a treat for the senses...wonderful smells, soft music ( no clangy stuff!) and a verrrry soft and nicely heated massage table. It was exactly what I had hoped for! A truly legitimate massage delivered in a soothing, calming environment. For me the soothing, calming is half of what will make me choose a massage therapist. The super bonus here is that it's quite obvious Ana Maria knows what she is doing, doesn't jeopardize your health by doing too much too soon in the wrong spots. My only regret is that I had to get up off the table! I am booked to see her again in a couple weeks but keeping my fingers crossed she gets a cancellation :) I can't recommend anyone higher than Ana Maria if you are looking for pain and/or stress relief delivered by one of the nicest people I have met in years!
