It's several years since we stayed here (at least 6, since it was before we had children), and things may have changed since then; but back then it was a fantastic bed and breakfast in a most unusual location.
Finding the place is not the easiest thing in the world -- it's secreted away amongst the back streets of Pickering. The Guest House is actually a converted mill, and there are still several original features still preserved in the building (or at least there were 6 years ago!).
The owners were very accommodating (no pun intended) -- they couldn't have done more to make us welcome. Indeed, they even opened the place up for us on Christmas Day when normally they would have been shut.
All in all, Vivers Mill was a great place to stay: highly recommended. read more
