There is really no good Latin American food here in Ulm but his place you must go! I went there…read morewith a very low expectation but boy I was surprised! We had the Lomo Saltado, cheese/beef empanadas and churros. Ok, this is how it went down. The Lomo Saltado was pretty good but I think the rice needs a little more condiments-maybe some onions and garlic? The empanadas, on point. Chese empanada- Filled with the right amount of cheese, dough-very Colombian like thats a plus and well cooked. Beef empanda- I think the beef might need a little more seasoning but again don't know where you would find cumin here so empanadas 5/5. Churros-perfect! Filled with condensed milk just how I like them. Wished they were filled with Dulce de Leche. I have tried many churros, from USA, Costa Rica, Mexico, Domican Republic, etc and this lady(owner) knows how to make them so you must try them. Owner was very friendly. I had to ask where she learned to cook and she told me from her mom!

Chacarero Steakhouse delivers the kind of meal that makes you stop mid‑bite and say, "Okay... this…read moreis really good." From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. If you're anywhere near Kaiserslautern and craving a great steakhouse experience, Chacarero is absolutely worth the visit. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

From start to finish, this meal was chef's kiss. Chacarero…read moreseriously delivered. It all kicked off with a perfectly balanced Pisco Sour -- frothy, sweet, and sour in the best way. The bread and salsa appetizer was a nice touch (simple but fresh), and the Gouda empanadas? Melt-in-your-mouth good. I ordered the beef and loved that they cooked it exactly how I wanted -- juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The staff made the experience even better with thoughtful check-ins that felt friendly, not forced. Dessert sealed the deal: churros with dulce de leche ice cream and a shot of espresso. Sweet, warm, and just the energy boost I needed to end the night on a high note. Highly recommend if you're craving bold flavors and a little comfort. What dish would you go for first -- the empanadas or dessert?
