At night it is possible to eat on the beach, and during the day either inside or in the veranda in front of the restaurant overlooking the local life on the beach, typically very active! We asked for tomato/mozzarela and linguine with vongole, none of which was on the menu but this wasnt a problem. The owner and staff were very nice, taking care of us as well as they were doing with the other people, all locals. The family that runs it lives in the village. Everything is authentic and delicious. It is a traditional Ligurian prix fixe multi course Italian meal - Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, dessert, espresso, wine - and the menu changes periodically. We have had multiple different pastas (including pesto, of course), vitello tonato, a beef dish, chicken - all excellent. Rabbit is a local specialty and had been on the menu but our daughter would be horrified if we ate "bunny rabbit" so we had to pass. The service is warm and attentive - by the chef/owner herself. Highly recommended!
