I however was scheduled to be here during the rain (sorry Italy I always bring it) and I had the place to myself as all the tourists were scared away. The sommelier and the chef are proteges of the Michelin Vescovado up the mountain under Giussepe Ricchebuono and are part of the Noli mafia that has produced many good eateries and restaurants. Thr owner Massimo is an amazingly friendly guy and they treated me super well. As I hadnt been to the Liguria area before I had them just cook for me and pair wines accordingly. The violet prawns from San Remo are a highlight for sure of this area and I always got as many as I could while here. That and the various surprises they send out were all fantastic. Perhaps it was good I had the place to myself and the full attention of the staff. During a sunny day when it is tourist packed I can Imagine it is a very different vibe. However that shouldnt scare anyone from the awesome food and drink.

It was very evident that the sauce of the spaghetti and clams was homemade. The owner came out to all the tables to speak with the guests. I'm not sure if it was to ask about the meal/service because he only spoke Italian. But if I could a wild guess, that's what I'd assume. To end the meal, we took a cappuccino and it's been the best one I've had on this trip! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic Italian food and a low key place.

We had grilled fish steak, mix of fried fish and seafood and 2 salads. Vegetables were very fresh and olive oil was extremely tasty. Fish and seafood were also very delicious! Also we ordered 1/2 liter homemade wine. It was really good. The bill was 50 euros Portions are proper size. Service is very friendly. In the window you would find a menu with English translation in the paper one is just Italian language.
