There is every sign that Vitos take their food seriously. Even in the takeaway, staff are dressed in chef's whites, they make their pasta fresh on-site, their menu boards talk of the quality of their ingredients - e.g. san marzano tomatoes. Shaping of the pizza was done expertly by hand, draping it off the edge of a marble counter. I had a basic margherita pizza. Much of the base was a lot like uncooked dough. The flavour was strongly sour and salty but otherwise bland. There was also an incident whereby the open pizza box fell on the floor as it was loaded. I couldn't see behind the counter, so I'm guessing the pizza itself didn't touch the floor. But some acknowledgment of the mishap or even an offer to make a new pizza might have been in order. Obviously, there was nothing in what I ate which would make me return. I still like the foodie vibe around this place but obviously I would need some sort of reassurance or positive reviews by others to give it another go. read more
