I really wanted to try the bolognese pizza, but I don't eat pork so no spaghetti on pizza for me. It didn't matter though because I got merguez and eggplant on my pizza. Let me tell you, such a great decision even if I don't know if the merguez was mutton or beef. The sauce was really good, the merguez had excellent spices in it, and the eggplant wasn't over cooked. Apparently, you're not supposed to eat the crust and I missed that memo because when I wanted to take home my leftovers, they cut off the crust from the side I had already devoured. It was a pretty big pizza for me though. It also heated up fairly well the day after for dinner and I appreciated it. We were served limoncello for our after drink and it was amazing. Never going to find quality limoncello like that in the states and also didn't think I'd get pizza that great in Belgium, but I stood corrected. Next time we come back to visit family, we will absolutely come back and get pizza here. The staff is very friendly and amazing. There is a bit of a language barrier as not many of the staff speak English all that well, but the owner's son was able to help us and you can really just point and use Google Translate if you don't speak French.

We stopped here recently because the stomach was growling and in need of nourishment. It was the…read moremiddle of the afternoon, so after lunch and not exactly time for dinner, so we decided to sit outside in the crisp wind in front of the restaurant and order a pizza - one pizza. The waiter, who had some funky manicured eyebrows and long hair with a pony tail was from Sicily and a very nice guy. The pizza was ordererd and we told him "solo uno" which was no problem for him. (Some places don't like you ordering one meal for two people!) He brought our drinks almost immediately - a Maes Pils for me and a bottle of Chaudfontaine mineral water for the lady. This also came with a bowl of olives. The pizza arrived 15 minutes later and it was indeed one pizza, but on two plates. It wasn't cut in half and plopped on the plates but cut in 6 slices and strategically placed on both plates. Never seen that before! We enjoyed our dinner and had a nice relaxing time there, chatting off and on with the waiter (although in Italian).

The place only makes pan-style pizzas, a departure from the normal flattened out and thrown in the oven that dominates Mons. It's fairly unassuming, with limited "good" seating. The oven is ancient electric thing. But the chefs here make up by providing a quality product with fresh made everything. Give it a shot!
