Steve literally and figuratively sealed the deal for us, going above and beyond to communicate and let us know the progress every step of the way. Despite his busy schedule, he was always a phone call or text away. He was able to submit a brand new package, save us costs along the way, and closed us in record time. Usually in my previous real estate transactions, the paperwork and loan process has been straight forward. Going through adversity really allowed me to see how dedicated Steve was, and how his customer service was light years than my previous experiences. To be blunt, go with him and you will have peace of mind throughout the process.

I found Marc Thompson to be ethical, professional, highly organized and a clear communicator. He took the time to understand my specific situation then by anticipating and thoroughly reviewing all necessary documentation we were able to proceed to closing with only a few minor requests by the lender. I required an expedited (as possible) closing to avoid a double move and Marc Thompson came through. While I would not call the loan process simple these days, this Umax team has streamlined their processes. The entire office is highly competent and a true pleasure to work with. Marc locked me in at a phenomenal rate. Since acquiring the house and after discussions with others who purchased or refinanced during this time period I've confirmed my rate is truly exceptional. I absolutely recommend Umax Mortgage in Davis.

Their ATMs are often not functioning. Their website is confusing (even the new and improved one.) I rarely go inside but when I have I almost always have had to stand in line. I couldn't help noticing there is always at least one person in new accounts sitting at his/her desk chatting or looking at their computer. It seems it would be more efficient if those at the desks could help the tellers when it gets busy or at least speak to those in line to inquire if they are there for a new account. Their hours are certainly not helpful for most people as they don't open until 10 and close at 5. If you work outside the home I suppose you would have to wait until Saturday to go in. But they're only open from 10-2 on Saturdays. There is no one to help after hours......not even a phone number in case of emergencies. I guess I am too used to USAA. But there should be some way for members to get in touch with someone to help in case of an emergency. Since the Pandemic I've noticed I always have to wait...sometimes for over 10 minutes to speak with someone when I call in. Usually I'll choose to have a callback. The building is really nice and there seems to be enough parking.
