Placed an order March 9, received the order, but with an expensive item missing. Thought maybe they shipped separately but checked tracking and it was all supposedly shipped in one box. Tried several emails, and many phone calls (on hold for several minutes, then disconnected, never getting through to talk to anyone). All I wanted was my missing item. I have lost confidence in this store once again and will continue ordering from Village Vitamin in Ontario. I feel like I have been ripped off $52.46 in an economy where every dollar matters. Since I started to take better care of myself I wanted to move out of getting supplements and such from a grocery store to a place with quality. Vitasave came very highly recommended by a few people and after only a few visits I could really see why. They have a great selection but what made it work for me was the staff. A massive selection without someone to help you figure out what is the best for you is not of much use. I found the staff to be very helpful. Very cheap online nutritional supplement & vitamin shop. However, I have found their customer service to be slow, when they do get around to responding. They had a checkout bug recently on the site, & they made it very difficult to contact anyone about without calling them on the phone. Their FAQs didn't include their online contact info (which is somewhat hidden on the site) & they did not respond to social media (it took them 3 days to reply to a tweet). By the time they got back to me I had ordered elsewhere - and Sarah proceeded to offer me a big discount if I cancelled that other order & redid the order with Vitasave instead. That sort of behaviour is very distasteful. I would have ordered with Vitasave if their website had been working, or if they replied to my message in a timely fashion, or made it easy to report system bugs! They didn't supply the customer service I needed, so they try to get me to cancel a completed order (at the expense of my time) with a company that provided excellent customer service? Nice. I should add, I had ordered there several times before with few issues, but in my opinion you learn a lot more about a company when you see how they handle a problem than when they handle a smooth transaction. Bought a handful of items online, ranging from Vegegreens to essential oils and I have saved so much money (most affordable I have seen!). As well, their customer service is impeccable - short wait times and quick shipping! I did not realize that I was $7 shy of free shipping (ref. $5.95) and I called the Friday they were processing to add on an essential oil. The girls (Petra and Sarah) promptly found my order and allowed me to qualify for free shipping. Later that evening I received notice from Canada post stating my order will arrive Monday. If all stores practiced this same courtesy and attention to every customer, I would be a lifelong customer at so many different stores! read more

I've been to the store in North Vancouver during their grand opening. Recently I have purchased a product which I have experienced some adverse reaction. Kaylie went above & beyond the call of duty to write me a detailed email and expressed concern that I was having a bad reaction to the product (Adrenasmart). I realized this is a fairly popular product & I'm sure it has been beneficial for a lot of people but it just wasn't for me. I was told to ship the product back to their warehouse & will get a full refund. Now this is why I continue to purchase my supplements & vitamins from Vitasave. You cannot talk to a human being, just leave a message that is probably never reveived. Emailing is pointless. I absolutely love Vitasave but their parking is AWFUL. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience once you've stepped inside the store. The associates have excellent product knowledge. The problem is their parking. They have designated parking in the back of the store is shady. There is no enforcement for people parking in the "No Parking" zone. I highly recommend if you're walking, taking a bus OR ordering online. read more

I've grown to really like Vitasave, and even though I've moved back to Montreal, I still order from them online. They're Canadian, their website is easy to use, their prices are reasonable, and they ship for free over $70. Customer service is great over the phone, when you can get ahold of them. My one and only complaint is that I've left messages on occasion (questions, or to find out where my order was, how long it would take to get to me), and no one ever returned my call. Most of the vitamin supplement stores online are located in Eastern Canada like Ontario...which does not fare well in the summer weather as parcels from the East Coast take over 9 days to arrive to the West Coast. And vitamins don't do well boxed up in transit in high temperatures. So it's great to find a local online source for my health supply needs.
