This is THE BEST NovaCare facility in Philadelphia for three important reasons:…read more1. Location - it's part of the Bellevue complex at Broad and Walnut, convenient to public transportation. 2. Facilities - standard PT office, but it's located in The Sporting Club, so you also have access to the extensive gym equipment, running track, etc. while you're there. 3. Experience - The manager Bob Molluro is a 3rd generation physical therapist, so it's in his blood. He's very personable and a great motivator, and his safe, conservative yet challenging approach is both reassuring and confidence inspiring. I've personally made incredible progress under his care, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and this NovaCare location which he manages.

I was sent here for physical therapy by my doctor on two separate occasions. I found the therapist…read moreI worked with (Maria R.) to be compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body. In both cases, she gave me details on what muscle groups I had that were underdeveloped, and provided me with a list of exercises to do at home to strengthen those muscles. The fact that this facility is located in a gym is a huge bonus, too. Any machine you need to work a specific set of muscles is just steps away, and the "ambiance" of gym sounds while recovering from my injuries helped my spirits somewhat. If this location is convenient to you, I recommend checking it out.

I had met Justin (the PT) and Carla (the office manager) at a networking event. Shortly afterward I…read morefractured my kneecap. PT was inevitable and I'm so glad I met them, as I was dreading PT. My last two places were, in a word, awful. They assigned one therapist to 2-3 people at once, so you'd spend an hour for 20 minutes of actual treatment - if you're lucky. They point you to a machine and move on to the next person. Justin was with me the entire hour. He tailored the workout to me. He knows when to push (think football coach) and when to ease off because your body won't take it. He knows physiology and has an exercise for everything. And he's got a terrific sense of humor. (Be sure to tell him about your cats - he loves them.) Justin is also totally honest. Unlike some PT places in the city, he won't try to rope you into more sessions than you need. When you're done, you're done. My knee healed really fast, just a few months after the break, I'm way ahead of where most people are at this point. (Of course I went to all the sessions and did exercises at home too. Justin gave me very good diagrams and they've got online capabilities too. The location is fantastic. It's convenient and well-appointed. Where else do you go to PT and see a waiting room with tables, coffee, fruit and the New York Times? It's the classiest PT place in town. Their rates are reasonable. I couldn't believe what I was getting when my insurance paid the same (or more) for PT that was a waste of time. I'm writing this during the lockdown. I was so impressed that, when we're allowed to go to gyms again, I'm going back for some personal training. And I can't imagine going anywhere else for PT.

I am wowed by the handsome facilities and the variety of exercise equipment, and I am delighted…read morewith the training offered by Ryan, who is skilled, sensitive, and entertaining. As a woman of advanced years (close to 80), I obviously have limitations, but I still want to work towards fitness. He pushes me enough to make the sessions challenging but is careful to avoid using types of exercise that would overstretch my capacity. I have confidence that with Ryan supervising my workouts at Elevate I can gain strength and meanwhile enjoy my experience there.

I went to Steve for a knee issue, I was referred to him by another PT in the area. I initially…read morecame in for a screening about my knee because I was fearing the worst, that I may need a PKR and I'm a dog walker! So, talking to Steve about these anxieties was really helpful. I ended up coming to PT for about a month or two. I probably should have stuck it out longer but I tend to get restless and so I ended up doing a lot of exercises on my own. Steve gave me a lot of skills for me to use on my own, like he always said- "tools in a toolbox". I ended up leaving with more ways to cope with my knee pain and most importantly to learn to not panic when the discomfort would hit because before going to Steve, I would tend to panic and get upset with pain but I was learning how to deal with it and manage it better. I think my pain was better when I left, I think I would have been even more pain free if I had stuck it out in PT for a few more weeks. Still, I'm glad to know of Steve and Strive because I had tried a couple of other PT facilities in the area where I really felt lost in the shuffle and left out. Steve was able to meet with me individually at times which was really great and other times there was only one other client, that was nice because I felt more attention was given to me. In addition he gave me things to try with my personal trainer at my gym and was open to my trying that, which was great! Other PTs had been very resistant to that idea at other facilities. Currently I think I'm in less pain, continue to do most of my exercises- correctly, lol! I think if I need PT again, I'll give Steve a call or email, nice that he's been responsive to both! I learned a lot from him and hope to continue to use the tools in my toolbox. Thanks, Steve!
