The first time I was there, both the woman and the man were openly talking to a patient in the waiting room about his need to see the doctor because of his addiction to pain medications. Anyone with an ounce of common sense or regard for HIPAA would have not done that. The doctor is nice but as long as his staff is there, he is going to lose business because of them. The woman who works there I would think has a mental disability because there is no other reason you would say something to her and she repeats something back to you that she just made up. She doesn't listen and then is rude to you when you have to circle back. Dr Singh would do much better if he were to hire two people that knew how to serve his customers properly. Also, for some reason, they only accept cash there. So if you have to pay a $60 co-pay, or a $200 out-of-pocket appointment, you actually have to go to the ATM and get cash before they will see you. When was the last decade that you saw a doctors office not accept debit or credit cards? It would take them an hour to set that up. That's what a mess they are. I made a mistake by choosing this office. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else. Dr. Mitchell is the best, hands down. She really is concerned to find the root of the problem and ready to take it on. While most doctors act as though they don't have the time for you, Dr. Mitchell will always take plenty of time and you never feel as though you are being rushed out the door for the next patient. The entire staff here is like this... positive, up-beat and friendly. Even those at the front desk always great you with a smile and appear to genuinely be glad to be there.

On the day after New Year's, my husband woke up extremely ill, with a 102 fever, nausea and low back pain. Our internist's office had no openings available, thanks to the already-raging flu season, so again we called on Advantage Urgent Care for help. We logged on to the website, input his info, and within 10 minutes got a call telling us to come in immediately. Adding to the stress was the fact that my husband's employer changed their medical insurance with the new year, and we had yet to receive his new insurance card. All we had was some partial info I printed off the insurance company website and I was worried they wouldn't accept it. Fortunately the girl at the front desk assured me it was not a problem. Given that we received an EOB from the insurance company 3 weeks later, I guess it wasn't! :) Back to my hubby's care...less than an hour after we arrived, we were on our way out with a kidney infection diagnosis and prescription for antibiotics in hand. The doctor he saw told him that if he was not considerably better within 48 hours, or got worse before that, he should go to the ER to be checked for kidney stones (yikes!) They also sent his specimen out to be cultured at a lab. Fortunately, 48 hours later he was doing considerably better. What impressed me most, however, is that the doctor from Advantage actually called us three days after he saw my husband, to give him the results of his lab culture (diagnosis confirmed) and to make sure that he was indeed feeling better and did not need further care. We have never, ever had that kind of follow-up from an Urgent Care clinic before, so props to Advantage Urgent Care for going that extra mile, it is appreciated!

I would much rather go to a regular doctor, but I work 8-5, and most doctor's offices are closed by the time I get off. I've already used so much of my sick time going to appointments just to be told the same thing and given the same medication. I've been dealing with this for about a year and a half, and I keep getting prescribed the exact same antibiotics even though I've repeatedly explained that they aren't working. At this point, I feel like there should be more investigation into why I keep having these symptoms instead of repeatedly giving me the same medication. The wait times here are also ridiculous. My appointment yesterday was at 6:15 PM after I had already worked a full day. I was sitting in the waiting room for over an hour, and it took nearly two hours total just to get a urine test and my results. For something as simple as a urine test, that wait is incredibly frustrating, especially when you specifically make an appointment. What makes it worse is that I feel like they don't actually listen. I've gone back multiple times explaining that the treatment isn't working, and I still leave with the same prescription. They also take forever to return calls, and it's extremely difficult to get any kind of follow-up. They also mis diagnosed me and told me my BV was treated, when I went to an actual doctors office the next day they said it is positive for BV. And one experience in particular really bothered me. A nurse told me that I shouldn't be having sex because I'm an 18-year-old woman, and a doctor told me that I shouldn't be having sex at 18. That was completely inappropriate and judgmental. I went there for medical care, not to be lectured about my personal life. I understand that urgent care can be busy, but when someone has been coming back repeatedly with the same issue, the least they can do is actually listen, investigate further, and treat the patient like their concerns matter. I'm extremely frustrated with my experiences here and will be looking for somewhere else to go.
