I was a little disappointed of the limited gluten-free options. The top two tiers of the cake display as well as the cookies and short breads all contained wheat flour. Only the bottom tier was raw, vegan and gluten-free. On my first visit, there was only one gluten-free cake, on my next visit at least they had three. They do have some additional gluten-free options in the refrigerated section, like chia pudding or chocolate mousse. Flavor wise, the raw cakes are awesome. They use cashew nuts to make the cheezecake filling with no added sugar, only natural sugar from dates or fruit. You get the healthy fat from coconut and walnuts. Guilt-free and nutritious dessert! Between the strawberry mint, chocolate coconut and strawberry rhubarb, it's hard to pick a favorite. The chocolate one was sweeter and the most decadent. Prices are high for Berlin standards, about $7 per slice of cake. Please stop using wheat flour! There are so many gluten-free flours you can use in your cakes to make them healthier.

This location is the smallest Bio Company one I have visited. I imagine that's because it is in the middle of a tourist area, with very little residential places in sight. But I am glad it exists. The smoked tofu that I love almost always seems to be on sale, the breads are delicious and priced around the same as the lesser-quality bakeries in the area (who raised prices, it feels like, passed on location), and there is hardly ever a long wait or line, or people in the way, blocking aisles. This makes the location ideal. Of course, I don't live near here, nor is it my closest Bio Company, but it's a short jaunt from work which makes me happy. I will certainly walk the extra 5 minutes beyond F'n'F to get better prices and a better selection

Even though the ample seating for the little stand is mostly outdoors and Berlin's May weather is being quite rainy, they offer an excellent enclosure to stay dry. In addition, the staff was drying off tables between showers. There are a variety of tasty burgers from 4-6 euro to choose from which you can make into a meal (drink & fries) for an additional 2.50. We opted for a burger each plus an order of curly fries (oddly called twisted) and onion rings. Everything came out exceptionally tasty - great buns- but the onion rings were a disappointment with 6 sad rings on a platter for 2.50. Maybe a different presentation would make them look less pathetic. The timing was also far too long as it took about 25 minutes after we ordered to get our food on a quiet Sunday. Boo y'all! No one goes for a "quick" 30 minute burger. But overall, we were in no hurry and our bellies got full for about 15 euro. Just a short walk from our house, I'm sure our paths will cross again.

You should not shop late on a Saturday because they could be out of certain things and not re-stock until Monday. I'm also not sure why the water their vegetables. It makes them look fresher but I sometimes think the water also aids the molding when it sits there in a box all day. What really puzzles me each time is the sometimes sooooo chilled and relaxed staff. The cassiers are usually not so bad, but some of them are like in constant state of slow-motion. With no offense (of course), but it seems like the perfect job for stoners. I know sometimes it's nice to take it easy, but in service I'm not sure I agree with it. The store is nice, but I don't want to waste time there - it's not that nice. :-) Getting bread usually takes a lot of time too - don't be surprised to wait up to 10 minutes if there are five people in front of you. Still a good supermarket for all things organic, just make sure you're not in a rush. Different rules apply in there. ;-)

The pretzel was good and reasonably priced. It wasn't amazing, but I was satisfied. It's right by KaDaWe, so it wasn't hard to get to. Nice cafe for a quick bite!
