never heard of this place but, they will take you to collections regardless bunch of bloodsuckers…read more don't do business with this place, they are relentless for their money and will call you night & day to collect in all honestly I do not recall using this clinic, but they are billing me anyway. I just want them to get off my back they are horrible!!

Let me start out by saying this is the first review I have ever posted which could be considered a…read morenegative review as typically I am not one to complain, however, I was disappointed with this clinic. Dr. Storm never took the time to get a good complete patient history. I had developed an infection from an arthroscopic knee surgery and was referred to Storm Clinic by my surgeon. Dr. Storm started me on a 6-week course of IV antibiotics which required the placement of a PICC line which was performed at another health care facility. The line was improperly placed resulting in complications. Improper placement was verified by X-ray and CT scan which were both read and interpreted by a radiologist. I do not know if these reports were reviewed by Dr. Storm or not, but my assumption is, they were. My first visit with Dr. Storm was by web conference which I felt was unprofessional especially after driving an hour to physically be at the clinic for a face to face consultation. Dr. Storm seemed to have his mind made up before the web conference to forgo another PICC line attempt and instead use a midline catheter despite having 5 weeks of IV antibiotic infusions to go along with weekly blood draws. The blame seemed to be placed on me and not the technician (not associated with Storm Clinic) which placed the PICC line for its failure. After 3 weeks, the midline was no longer functional which after 3 weeks may not be that uncommon, so another midline was placed (at another health care facility not associated with Storm Clinic) which within couple of hours the arm the catheter was placed in became swollen and painful. Again, this was due to poor placement. Another appointment with Dr. Storm. Before meeting with me to getting any history, he decided to change the antibiotic course midstream so to speak to an oral antibiotic therefor, forgoing the IV meds and again, it seemed I was to blame for the second midline failure which was not the case. At the time of the second appointment, I had several thousand dollars' worth of IV antibiotics on hand which were unreturnable. The decision to switch antibiotics seemed to be one of convenience and what was easy and not based on sound medical judgement as the course of IV antibiotics were not the issue, poor catheter placement was the issue. My last visit to Storm Clinic was no different. Two days of antibiotic therapy remaining with product on hand (again expensive) and Dr. Storm decided to forgo the last 2 infusions. When asked the thought process and why not just finish the course as prescribed since there were only 2 days remaining, I was told that I was either cured or not cured at this point and there was a 98% chance I was and that those were good odds. Not that 2 more days would have made any difference but to me this sounded like a whimsical "easy button" answer. The staff and Dr. Storm at Storm Clinic are all very friendly, however, the "easy appease the patient approach" was taken vs. taking the time to have a dialog with the patient to develop a pertinent patient history and use the information as part of the patient care plan. I may be an outlier in terms of patient demographics compared to what Storm Clinic is used to as I am a very active middle age person vs. older more sedentary patients, I don't know. Again, taking the time to acquire my history would have been helpful.
