Despite coming in the Winter time with no sun, it was still a great place to snap pictures. It was pretty empty both times I went and there's a nice walking path along the edge in front of the park. There are fountains, squares, cafes, and art displays. In winter, it hosts an ice rink, but we were there in late spring/early summer, it hosts festivals and concerts. We witnessed a little hockey festival. It's a lovely park for a stroll, or a glass of wine at a cafe, or a concert! Very beautiful.

Great for people watching, dog admiring or sun worshiping! The park also has a restaurant called debaser, a library, skate ramp, playground and sport courts. I like how it can be accessed any time of the day. Many parks have big gates to keep people out at after a certain time but this park is well lit at night.(However always be careful if walking alone at night in any sheltered area) I love it!! I thought maybe it was some trees or bushes. Still a mystery. But overlooking the smell it is a really nice park and it's right in the city. On sunny days it's nice to sit here and relax ... that was before kids. They have a great playyard with swings and whatnot, great for kids. I'd spend more time here if I lived closer .. and if it didn't smell. Maybe next time I'll just rub some vicks under my nose and the problem is solved.

There's a reason for this. It's a charming little square, complete with trees, a playground, and a fountain, and it's bordered by Vitabergs park on one end and rows of cute cafes and brunch restaurants on the other sides. Urban Deli, Gilda's Room, Nytorget 6, and my personal favorite, Mississippi Inn, are all found right here. It's also just a stone's throw from some of the island's best shops, including second-hand and vintage stores as well as modern designers like Swedish Hasbeens and Acne. As soon as the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, Nytorget fills with happy hipsters. The atmosphere is always positive, and the square is frequented by families just as well as friends, couples, and tourists. I love this square; it's peaceful and clean and positive. You can't be in a bad mood sitting here. However, I've had to dock off one star this year - because they have replaced the grass with fake grass carpeting. In one way I understand - with people constantly lounging on it, the real grass wasn't in great condition and was difficult to maintain. But who really enjoys relaxing on itchy plasticy grass? I'm not normally afraid of grass stains, I just want to lie down and relax on nature's natural floor - but nowadays I have to bring a blanket!

Waited for them to filled and it was fine. Everything we ordered was good and as advertised. Recommend going so long as you know that not everything will be ready to go.

So I came across this page for Monteliusvägen when a fellow Yelper friend of mine posted photos and…read moreI thought to myself, how did I miss that? Well, besides the fact that we didn't take proper measures to get internet during our stay since we relied on our cousins to do that, all I did was check-in to areas with my spotty internet and didn't think of checking in to the actual town. Well, here I am, five months later with a few shots from some of the most beautiful views I captured during my visit to Stockholm. Monteliusvägen is a gorgeous walking area about a quarter-mile long that shows gorgeous views of historic buildings, the glistening water and gorgeous homes and businesses surrounding the area. We arrived to the country at a good time during the summer, although they are known to have sudden changes in the weather in the middle of the day where it'll begin raining with thunderstorms out of nowhere. This day in particular served us well. One of the pictures was taken from the water because my lovely uncle and cousins gave us a tour around the city with their boat. It was a magical experience and I could not stop taking photos. If you visit Sweden and want to avoid the cold, visit during July (when they celebrate Midsommar) or August...just bring an umbrella.
