Cathy did the florals for our May 2026 wedding and she did an incredible job! I really had no idea what I wanted and just gave her some colors I liked/didn't like. She blew us away with what she created. All the arrangements were stunning - full, packed with a variety of flowers, and expertly arranged. I'm not a huge flower person so I didn't expect to be so taken by the arrangements, but looking back they were one of the most incredible pieces of our wedding day. She took care of everything and coordinated with our venue so we didn't have to stress at all. Highly recommend!!!! read more

We booked Cathy as our florist for our wedding at Scribner Bend & from start to finish, it was such a pleasure working with her. From our very first meeting, I loved how thorough she was in asking all the right questions to understand our vision for the florals and she truly brought it to life. One of the things that stood out most was how honest and thoughtful she was throughout the process! She never once tried to upsell us. In fact, she gave us creative hacks to make the most of our budget, like repurposing our aisle runner florals into our centerpieces. That kind of care and transparency meant so much to us as a couple planning a wedding. Everything turned out even more beautiful than we imagined and we received so many compliments from our guests. Cathy is incredibly talented, reasonably priced and an absolute joy to work with. I recommend her 10/10 to any couple looking for a florist. Thank you again Cathy for making our day so special! read more

Cathy provided the florals for our wedding at Scribner Bend this past weekend and we are so glad that we chose VID for our flowers. The planning process was super easy. We chatted over the phone and met in person at her studio, and she was so kind and agreeable. The quote she gave us was much more reasonable than the other florist I considered, and I felt that Cathy's goal was to take care of us, not to try to sell us more. For example, she recommended that the arch florals be moved behind the head table after the ceremony, which saved us from having to buy a second set of arrangements. Also, she recommended that we buy fake candles (vs real candles) because of how windy our venue can get sometimes, and told us "I can buy them for you, but it's cheaper if you buy them yourselves on Amazon." Her honestly and acknowledgement of wedding budgets was greatly appreciated. Also, we had more people RSVP "yes" than expected, and she was able to add a table arrangement without any fuss. On the day of, the table arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, cake flowers, and arch florals were exactly they style we asked for, were (and still are, days later) beautiful, and smelled wonderful to boot. She delivered them exactly on time, and coordinated with the venue staff for all of the ceremony and reception flowers, so we were totally hands-off. She even found a ribbon that matched the bridesmaid dresses, so the ribbons around the flowers were perfect too. I highly recommend Cathy and VID to anyone who's planning a wedding. She and her team provide gorgeous flowers and exceptional service. read more

When me and my fiancé met with Cathy she knew her florals and had so much experience that we immediately went forward with hiring her for our big day. Cathy was a dream to work with shed answer every email and make any requested changes. We got married at Scribner Bend Vineyards on October 4, 2019 and she came into the bungalow to show me and my bridesmaids our bouquets and I was amazed by the amount of detail put into them. I was so excited to see the rest of the florals and before it was time for the ceremony I snuck down there to see and all of the florals exceeded my expectations! I had a vision of how I wanted the centerpieces, arch, bouquets, etc. to look like for our wedding and she definitely exceeded that and put so much detail into every single piece. Cathy is amazing and provides amazing quality. Cathy made my day so special and I would highly recommend her for all your floral needs! read more

Everyone warned us flowers would be expensive and one of our biggest wedding expenses. After being warned and realizing neither of us knew a thing about flowers we actually out off finding a florist until about a month before the wedding. With the big day rapidly approaching we met with a florist Downtown, negotiated and decided to check out Visual Impact per a friend's recommendation. I can't even begin to express how pleased I was with Carissa's service. Some how she was able to visualize and design exactly what I wanted and more while still accommodating our budget. She even took a sample of our swatch to match the flowers and matched all the ribbons to our parents and bridal party attire. I really liked that she added those fine details. We didn't need flowers for decor so we only ordered for our families and the bridal party. My fiancé at the time was so pleased with the consultation and saw how happy I was he put the deposit down before we left (I think he was also trying to avoid another consultation lol). Everyone loved our bouquets, boutineers and flowers on the cake. Again Carissa's customer service was remarkable. She really listened to what we wanted and helped us out by showing us pictures, samples and giving her opinion. Most of our communication after our first meeting was by email and phone. My husband picked up the flowers the morning of the wedding and everything went smoothly... until the boys forgot the flowers in the hotel room!!! SMH. The flowers were of excellent quality. Our rose and dendrobium orchid boutineers help up well. Actually I do have to mention on side of my bouquet started to die shortly after the ceremony. I think the lisianthus were a little sensitive and got a little abused along the way. No worries though, I just hid that part when taking pictures. Overall I loved all our flowers, the design and service. I would recommend Visual Impact. read more

Cathy from Visual Impact did an absolutely spectacular job with the florals for my husband's and my wedding in April, 2017! She was flexible and able to provide an amazing package for a very reasonable price, and was always a joy to speak with. Carissa was super friendly, and she knew her craft, especially when she showed us pictures from her wedding. I picked up the flowers for the cake and for our wedding day and it went without a hitch. The good folks at Visual Impact handled the flowers for my wedding last New Year's Eve, and I had a great experience. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, friendly and had a good eye for design and detail. I booked them about two months before the wedding, and we had a meeting to discuss colors, design, and what we needed. Closer to the date, they kept in touch with me about specifically which flowers were available and we cemented the final details. On the wedding day (despite the fact that it was a holiday) they arrived on time and everything looked perfect. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that we used a lot of other decor, and so my wedding didn't involve a whole lot of flowers (3 tall centerpieces, 4 small bouquets, 1 large bouquet, a few wrist corsages), so I don't feel qualified to award the big five, but I had total confidence in them and would certainly have trusted with a larger, more floral-centric event. Also, if you know what you're looking for, I think you'd certainly get as much artistry from Visual Impact as from one of the ritzier shops in town, but at a better price. read more

Cathy Brooks and her team are the absolute best! I can't emphasize enough how much I love their work! My sister had her wedding flowers done by Visual Impact so when I got engaged this was my first phone call. Cathy is so thoughtful and remembered us right away (even though my sister got married 7 years ago)...she took the time with us to truly understand the vision we had for our wedding day! We got our estimate right away...and let me tell you they are worth every pretty penny!! They were so great about following up through our engagement and we met again a couple weeks before the wedding just to make sure everything was perfect. On our wedding day when I saw the flowers I was beyond impressed! Their work is so creative, gorgeous, romantic down to every detail....true perfection! Cathy even sent me a personal note card too congratulating me and wishing us the best...she is so sweet! Her team made sure each table bouquet, bride/bridesmaid's bouquets, boutonnieres, aisle, and wedding arch were perfect. I knew from the beginning they would do such a fabulous job so I never had to worry about it...and as a bride that is more then you could ever ask for! Besides weddings...their designs are just as amazing! My Aunt passed away and a good family friend sent us a bouquet from Visual Impact...as always it was beautiful and lasted a long time! TRUE PERFECTION!!!! read more

I hired Cathy and her team at Visual Impact to do my personal flowers (bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres) and altar piece for my wedding Memorial Day Weekend and I could not have been happier! From our first planning meeting, I could tell that Cathy was different than the other florists I had met with. I had met with a couple of other florists and of course, had a Pinterest board of ideas of what I was looking for. Cathy was very specific in asking me particular questions about subtle differences she saw between inspiration pictures I had picked out, but had never noticed myself. She asked me about what kind of fibe I wanted for the wedding (elegant, relaxed, natural). She also made sure to ask me if there were specific flowers I wanted, didn't want, what would be more economical and what would be more costly. I walked away feeling very confident that she would be able to create something amazing with my input. In between the first meeting and the pick-up date, Cathy and her team were impeccable with their communications. I always got responses in a timely manner and they let me know a week before the balance and any changes were due. I came the morning of the wedding to pick up the flowers and I could not have been more pleased! The altar piece (which ended up being a centerpiece on the head table) was HUGE and was really, really stunning. She had used flowers I had requested specifically and added on others that really conveyed the feeling of naturalness and relaxed that I was looking for. All the guests mentioned how beautiful the flowers looked. I couldn't have been happier. Cathy and her team really do an amazing job and while they might not be the most economical option out there, my husband and I decided we'd rather have it done right than show up the day of and not have what we wanted. I really think Visual Impact strikes the perfect balance of affordability and very professional floral design services. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any new bride-to-be! read more

We booked Visual Impact Design after talking with a few floral places that were just too expensive for what I wanted. I am not fussy about flowers, I think the cost is really high for something I don't really get to enjoy for very long (just a ceremony and a handful of pictures later) but of course I wanted real, not fake (which isn't much less expensive anyway) SO we met with Cathy, I told her my vision "the messy look" me mostly purple, the girls mostly white, the boys, orchids. the moms, bright red, and the price range I wanted to stay in, and also not that big of a bunch, I'm a little person and I didn't want it overwhelming me (or too heavy) and WOW she did an amazing job!!! The flowers were ready for pickup on time, looked unique and classy and fantastic. I can go on and on about how wonderful the design was but I will stop. Go into the shop, get a consultation, be honest about your budget and flexible on your flower choices to find the best ones for your budget you'll have beautiful flowers on your wedding day =) read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about Carissa and the rest of Visual Impact Design. From my first conversation with her, Carissa immediately understood my vision. She also understood that we were having a sizeable wedding and were trying to be as cost conscious as possible, and was eager to get creative with our flowers to give us the biggest bang for our buck without making me feel like I was being cheap. I remember being on the phone with her and scribbling down "I like her!" on a scratch piece of paper that I was taking notes on to show to my then-fiance during our initial phone call. She was always patient with any questions that I had for her along the way, and always told me how excited she was for my vision, even though I'm sure she's done similar flowers over and over again! The result was everything that I had imagined and more. The arrangements were lush, and looked beautiful all night long and beyond. My bouquet actually lasted for two weeks after the wedding, even though it had been out of water for practically 24 hours after the wedding before I got it home! I only wish that I had another reason to use Visual Impact Design again (because planning one wedding was enough for me!) because I just fell in love with her whole staff! If you're looking for flowers that'll impact your loved one's day, or even their week, Visual Impact Design is a wonderful choice. I researched many florists who also offer delivery in the Sacramento area and found only one that stood out. Visual Impact's floral designs are simple, modern, and elegant. Since I was doing my research via web, I began losing track of which sites I had visited because they all looked the same, from the webpage design to the floral arrangements. The flowers were for my husband's birthday so I was looking for a masculine and simple design. I chose "The Color of Red" which came in a square vase. The square shape gives the overall arrangement a striking presence. Cathy took my order over the phone and gave me an option of having them delivered in the a.m. or p.m. The flowers were delivered in the a.m. as promised. My husband loved the flowers, but I think he is more excited to find use for the vase. read more

We had a consult with this company, but ended up not using them. They were super receptive and a very friendly staff. They had a TON of photos to look through of weddings and events. They even had books of just FLOWERS for us to look through. This made the selection of flowers that much easier. Within a couple of days of our consult we got the estimate.
