There are way too many cheaper options nowadays for me to do that.... The lady at the front desk, which I assume is the owner, or at least manager, asked me and my family for our numbers and that she would call when she heard from my insurance provider, if they covered the glasses or not, to ask me if I wanted to proceed or not.... I feel like she made us trust her but she never contacted me nor my family about it, and just ordered the glasses for me without my consent. I feel totally scammed and so disappointed! Beware, they also Do Not have satisfaction guarantee policy if somehow something goes wrong, like in this situation. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Elio's Optical. I spent $800 on a pair of glasses…read morethat I have never been able to see properly with. From day one, something felt off -- my vision was not clear, and the prescription didn't seem right at all. What makes this even more frustrating is their complete lack of accountability. Despite me calling about a month and a half ago to explain that the glasses weren't working, they are now refusing to even check if the original eye exam may have been done incorrectly. Their only response is that I passed their one-month window, even though I did reach out within a reasonable time. Now they expect me to pay for another eye exam and purchase new lenses -- which would likely cost me another $800 -- just to fix an issue that may have been their mistake in the first place. For a business that charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service and professionalism. Instead, I feel like they only care about getting paid, not about whether their customers can actually see properly. I would not recommend Elio's Optical to anyone.

My experience here this morning on 5/30/2026 at Clara Optical in Miami Lakes, FL was absolutely terrible! I checked in on time and I waited for over an hour. They kept telling me that they only had one person that spoke English. While everyone that came in after me was being seen. I then asked to speak to a manager and the manager never came out. I waited for an extra fifteen minutes for the manager. That to me was very unprofessional as a manager. Where I work we have treat our customers with respect and we go above and beyond to handle their situation and/or complaints. Your office did not do that. I felt like you made me look like a fool and a fool I am not. Make sure you get the only one person that speaks English to translate. This is not over. I will voice this everywhere. Rosy, was so sweet and quickly took care of me. Asked to see photos of my little one to ensure the best recommendations for glasses to fit perfect for the face. With the Rx in hand, we're chose the frames, got a good deal only $69. She put a rush on the order and I got a call from her the very next day to pick up the new prescription glasses!!! Everywhere else I had called locally kept telling me the turn around time was 2-3 weeks! Even the big name companies. When I picked up the glasses, I even got a little spray bottle liquid cleaner for care for the glasses. Needless to say, I am very happy with the service provided! Will definitely be back!
