Love this hidden little gem. Never super crowded like the other parks in the area. & always kept…read morevery clean. Besides the kids play area & large open field, there's also a huge garden to explore. I also do like the fact that there's a track circling the park for a nice nature walk / run. Bathrooms / water fountain available. As well as a covered area with tables. Limited parking though.

What's unique about this small little park is that it's a Community P-Patch Garden and Demonstration Garden. From my research I've found that it started in 2009 and has grown significantly over the last four years. The garden program is a partnership between WSU Extension Master Gardener Program and the City of Bremerton Parks & Recreation Department. The Land was known as White's Blueberry Farm, a commercial enterprise that harvested blueberry plants. I've heard that a small number of the original blueberry plants remain and can be found in the NW corner of today's Blueberry Park. This place seems like a great place for new gardeners just starting out, or for seasoned gardeners looking to share their knowledge with others. They even donate most of the produce to the Bremerton Food Line. It's worth a stop just to relax a bit and check out gardens that other folks have been working on.

First of all, meeting Dan felt like meeting a celebrity to me because I've watched so many of his…read morevideos. But aside from being starstruck, I was absolutely floored by the sheer number of incredible bonsai, many of which were absolutely world class. Most of his trees have a very rustic, rough/natural appeal, TONS of deadwood and shari/jin features, none of his junipers are styled in the traditional Japanese or Chinese methods, but I could see many of these trees winning prizes in the national here in the state's. Especially his azaleas and rock plantings. Dan was very down to earth and happy to talk shop endlessly even though we showed up on their day off accidentally (Apple Maps wasn't updated to their winter hours). Despite this, after hearing that I was a true bonsai fanatic his lovely wife allowed me in and let us roam free. Needless to say I was in heaven! We were on our way to a hike so we had to leave after only an hour, but I could easily have spent a full day there. Dan apparently will take offers on his extraordinary trees. Lord knows he has plenty! Had I known that going in I might have looked at them differently, as potential purchases. He had sold a lovely 60-year-old bougainvillea to a woman and was showing her how to train it. All of which cost her less than $600 surprisingly! All things considered, it was truly a wonderful experience and next time I'm in Puget Sound I'm definitely going back (with some money).

The lady owner with blonde hair kept following us inside the store and outside. It made us feel really uncomfortable because she was just following us and didn't say anything. It was nice of her to show us around, but she kept on following us. Especially this older gentleman. We still didn't know if they wanted us to leave or if they liked us. You have to pay to go out back and see all the bonsai. Inside is cool. We couldn't see most of it because in some areas it's hard to get around.

This is a pretty small lavender farm compared to the pictures I've seen at the ones in Sequim but…read moreit is actually very quiet and charming! To go past the shop and into the lavender farm itself to either look or pick lavender yourself the fee is $8. However if you buy something in the gift shop there is a $3 credit that gets applied to your purchase. In the lavender area itself you can help yourself picking your own lavender or just look at it and take in the tranquil environment. The view past the field is great! Also in the back there is a small building where they have two or three different kinds of ice cream you can buy, some selections have lavender in the ingredients as well as complimentary lavender lemonade. In the gift shop there are lots of lavender scented oils, soaps, home decor and more that is all lavender themed. The lady that ran the shop was very pleasant and friendly.

This is the cutest lavender farm ever! It's a local, family owned business and it includes a gift shop (which is not overpriced like other reviews have said), a mini ice cream / lemonade shop, a bunny, a hammock, a little tent (not sure if it's for kids or dogs though, little pond and fountains all throughout the property, beautiful waterfront views of the lake, and hills of lavender. Entry to the lavender farm is $8 per person (kids 10 and under are free) and with that, you can either choose to pick a little bunch of lavender included, or you can get a $3 credit for the gift shop. One thing I loved about this place was that it wasn't overly packed. There were a couple other people that stopped by while we were there, but over all, it was pretty secluded, peaceful, relaxing. I'm all for supporting small, local, family owned businesses, so finding this spot was a gem. If you're looking for a lavender field to stop at, look no further, you've come to the right place! It may not be a massive 5 acre field, but it's well worth the trip.
