If you're deciding who to choose for physical therapy, I'll tell you right now: this is the place. My mom got hit by a double-whammy -- two surgeries, one scheduled and one unanticipated, in the space of a few weeks. What she needed was someone who could help her with the therapy she'd been expecting to do for her new knee, but who would also show her the patience and care she needed as she recovered from the unknowns following the second surgery at the same time. This could have been a real challenge, but the folks at Vissers have been invariably kind and caring. It's been a journey, to say the least -- and having good people beside you at every step is essential. This is what we got at Vissers. Everyone we've interacted with at Vissers has been lovely, but particular praise is due to my mom's individual therapist Rena Bissessar, who has pushed her when she needed pushing, been understanding with her when she needed understanding, and gotten her a long way in an astonishingly short time toward being back on her feet again. What a wonderful office! I had the pleasure of having a series of 3 appointments after spraining my thoracic spine from becoming more physical than I had been previously in life. I am a 32 year old ftm and the whole office was so friendly and respectful. Mr. Visser himself is so confident and knowledgeable. From My short experience, he has been willing to kindly push you, but not over step or push too hard. hopefully I don't require physical therapy again anytime soon, but if I do I know exactly where I'm going! I am forever grateful for the wonderful care and treatment Paul at Vissers provided during my various treatments. He greatly improved my range of motion in my shoulders after rotator cuff tears and also worked on my arthritic knees, back and hips to help me be able to pursue my passion, Ballroom Dance Competition. I had the best physical therapy treatment after my Achilles rupture repair surgery. All of the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Paul Vissers is highly knowledgeable and professional. Working full-time, 2 kids and being 5 months pregnant, they were very accommodating with my schedule and gave me at-home exercises to optimize my recovery. * Physical therapy with Rena at Visser's has been a great experience for me. Rena was able to diagnose my problem in our very first visit and she is very knowledgeable and professional, she was compassionate, encouraging, caring, and has become a good friend. In my first visit my knee was completely frozen and bent and within in one month of therapy 3 times per week I was 90% recovered to my old self. I went to several doctors who had no idea what was wrong with my knee yet Rena was able to quickly figure out the issue and get started on the correct exercises and treatments to ensure I make a full recovery. I have been to see Paul Visser a couple of times for knee surgeries. He did a superb job of 'getting me back on my feet', so to speak, both times. I tried the physical therapy offered by the large orthopedic practice who did the surgeries, but they were nowhere near as good as Paul. I highly recommend him, and his superb staff. read more

For the past 4+ years, Paul Visser of Vissers Physical Therapy has treated myself for repair of a torn rotator cuff, torn bicep, and a torn labrum after surgery for both my right and left arms. I also had a frozen shoulder, which he was able to release from being frozen. In addition, he has also treated my husband for 2 hip replacements, and a total knee replacement.
