Our guide was well-spoken and informative, and made the experience fun and interesting! As someone who appreciates history, I truly enjoyed hearing unnoticed, lesser-known stories! By the way, there is a fair amount of walking and hills in this tour, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle!

There are signs that read "no flash photography" but everyone on the tour was taking pictures of everything. The "tour" (if that's what you want to call it" was guided by a non-speaking woman in oriental garb, so clapped to direct your attention. The first half literally just felt like a museum. It consisted of performance artists moving around, dressed up as Dracula's daughter, a fallen angel, etc. as a recording explains made-up stories about their past. There is literally NOTHING that pops out at you for the first 20 minutes of the tour. The last five minutes is supposed to be a self-guided tour through Dracula's lair. A woman greets you and goes - turn back, don't go any further. People on our tour (including us) were laughing at most of the poor attempts to startle us. The tour ended with what looked like (as one tour goer put it) "Dracula and his wife shooting up cocaine." Was it scary? No. Was it funny? Sort of. Was it worth it? Not in the slightest. Go to the Haunted Labyrinth in Cranston if you really want to be spooked.

It was very hard to hear Aurelia and the noise was very distracting. Aurelia was a lifelong resident of the Salem area and clearly very invested in the city. Before arriving in Salem I thought it was a small town. Salem is a much larger town located just north of Boston. The tour covered about 1 1/2 miles and the walk was easy. Much of the focus was on the witch trials and the mark it left on the city of Salem. The tour ended at the memorial for the victims of the witch trials and it was very solemn. This tour gave me a new perspective on Salem and its history.

We lucked out with a very amicable group. We went to 4 different spots. They made a point (a few times) to highlight local businesses which was great. The tour was designed around going from the earliest history of donuts to the future of donuts, plus a side bar on churros. The tour was very short and the only feedback I would give for improvement would be to include a bit more walking between stops, although I get that the shops are all very close together, it would have been good to have a bit of time to digest. And I would recommend bringing water/a drink to wash down all the donuts. The cost was about $48 after fees and we got a good amount of donuts samples plus a Greek coffee. A couple of the businesses also brought some nice treats for the people on our tours whose birthday it was which made it extra special. This was a really nice way to explore some local businesses, eat really delicious donuts, and learn a bit about the history of the donut. Overall I would recommend.
