There are many options when utilizing your passport waiver benefit, but I would hands-down recommend bright path. We used this service for a loved one and when it was time to search for a memory care place because…read moreour loved had declined we were unable to find a facility locally to keep her because this franchise had discussed with all local facilities that she would try to escape and was belligerent. All facilities had "been warned" when we came in to tour the facility. When we needed the most help with her, we couldn't get it because they had discussed her situation at a conference with these facilities. As a family member of someone who has dementia, we were forced to use a facility an hour away. Because of that, we were not able to visit every day and check on her as much as we liked. It was very unfair for this company that calls themselves "angels" to blackball our family member when we needed so much help. We were turned away in our community based on their opinion of her. We used a facility far away and she never tried to escape 1 time. She has since passed but I want everyone to know that this franchise made it very hard for our family to find a place close by and the fact that they were discussing our loved one and telling them not to take her is very disconcerting. We feel her privacy was breeched. Also when you have someone failing from dementia and can no longer take care of them, that's when you need the most help and they should have tried to help us find a facility and not hurt our chances.
