Beware. They sold me well on the services they provided. Marisa is a nightmare. The entire staff has been, honestly. The caregivers were great, when I was there to watch over them. I set up care for my grandmother while I was out of the country. I informed the caregivers and company of my departure. They called my 91 year old grandma and told her money was due. They didn't explain to her there was issues with the auto debit (yes, they require you to debit from your account). She had no idea there was an issue with payment. She thought they were telling her the bill. She doesn't even pay her own bills. They emailed me saying they terminated services and were proceeding with legal action for non payment. I was out of the country, in the jungle, and could not receive signal. If they had simply mentioned to my grandma payment wasn't received, she could have communicated to me the issue when I drove into town every day to get signal to call her. But they didn't communicate that. They left my grandma, at 91 with a broken femur, by herself and threatened unnecessary legal action, all because they have issues with communication within their company. If they're not communicating effectively, that really worries me for the "care" they're providing to their patients. This started out as a life saver with their care, and turned into a nightmare when I needed them the most. Please be aware you will have to watch this company. Several caregivers they sent were old and out of shape. They couldn't have picked up my grandma. Especially, if you get Kim. She just plays on her phone in the other room. Maria and Claudia are incredible. I can't say enough good things about them. But we rarely got them. I paid for an old lady to watch an old lady 90% of the time. I could keep going but this topic is incredibly upsetting. Update: The owner reached out to me, but wouldn't make time to sit down with me to discuss my issues. He's too busy, but can take a phone call only. Business owner to business owner, If you really cared about your business, you'd make time. I care for 2 elderly people and own two businesses. I also workout 3 hours a day. You make time for what matters to you. It's simple. Additionally, I woke up to an unauthorized charge debited from my account when they have been paid in full. I guess I'll have to get an attorney involved. This whole situation is ridiculous. This isn't my first rodeo with home health care. The hospice service that came for my mother gave us zero issues with billing, staff, etc. Visiting Angels was, and continues to be, a nightmare in disguise of a blessing. These people just won't get out of our lives. It feels like harassment at this point. read more

Just like the previous review I wasn't happy with my services either and I don't like giving negative reviews. But when it comes to taking care of our elderly loved ones I think its important to be honest not only for potential clients but also for the organization to have the opportunity to make right the issues. The first thing that alarmed me was I called one location for services and was quoted a price per hour. After they found someone to meet my needs, they called me back and said they didn't realize they weren't in my area and that I needed to call another location. When I called the other location the price per hour was $3 more than what I was quoted by the other location. I asked why there was a discrepancy and was told each branch is independently owned and charges varied. After deciding to move forward during the home pre-evaluation I explained that my dad would be visiting from a nursing home out of town, we had no equipment for lifting; he has one leg amputated and is 100% dependent. I explained his weight and height and expressed that because I have a small frame I would totally depend on them to provide me with someone who was fully capable of taking care of my dad. I showed her where he would be sleeping along with the bathroom area. She assured me they had someone fully capable of meeting my needs. She even asked if a male assistant would be preferred and I said yes. On the day of service the young assistant comes in an assess my dad and our needs. Upon noticing we didn't have equipment for lifting and aiding her she said she wasn't prepared to meet our needs. She said no one at her agency had explained to her what our needs were and that all patients she worked with were in hospital beds and had equipment for lifting. After spending 15 minutes going back and forth about what she was or wasn't told she was able to meet the minimal needs of my dad. We were suppose to use the service for four days but because they weren't able to assist with my dad's needs we had to return him back to the nursing home early. Shortening his once a year visit with us. I was very disappointed but I did like the idea that there was always someone available to answer the phone, We called them to come out the day after Christmas and every time I called they answered, which helped my stress level. Although I'm giving them 1 star I will try them again next year just to see if maybe the lack of communication was a factor. read more

Have heard the commercials about visiting angels so decided to call. They quickly responded and offered to send folks out. The folks were pleasant, but not proactive. Basic tasks that i needed help with were done poorly or not at all. I needed help mopping but the person would reuse dirty water which was unacceptable. None of the three different "angels" offered to even help make a simple sandwich but instead ate their own lunch. I thought they would be helpful with personal hygiene, but they were not. The worst part is you have to give them a weeks notice if there is any change to your schedule. We had 2 emergency room trips in one week. My son drove us to hospital. We gave visiting angels more than 24 hrs notice but since it was less than a week, we would be charged. We decided to bring "angel" along and she sat there on her phone they whole time which was a complete waste of money. This policy alone makes the service difficult to use. I would not call this behavior "angelic." read more

Signed on - they changed caregiver twice on us even before we started . Then when we had the meet and greet with new people - one announced she could only work a certain amount of hours due to being retired - the other had to change her schedule weekly due to school. Both said their employer did not seem to understand. My mom has dementia and we discusses all of this with a woman named Dena - with expectations. First day no one showed up - we had to call to find out that the first caregivers mom was in a car accident - ok understood but why should we have to call and no offer of replacement was offered. Next day second caregiver came and after 2 calls we still did not hear from anyone about scheduling the second person. Finally got in touch with the owner. She was so rude it was unbelievable! Pretty much said that this was some how our fault? I never write negative reviews but if you are trying to find a company to care for your elderly parent - RUN away from this place pretty scary that they do not value care and timely scheduling - can you imagine if we hadn't been there? Most unprofessional, uncaring horrible place... The caregiver was also appalled with the behavior of the owner - that says it all. read more
