Superb staff, and a superb prescription from the eye exam. Glasses were ready in just a few days. Highly recommend.

I went in on June 19th 2024 for my eye exam which one fine I picked out a pair of glasses which took a long time I sat down with one of the employees who said that everything was said to go and I showed him my insurance cards and when I left I assumed I was getting my new glasses in 3 weeks like he had said well I went on to their website to check the order status and it cannot be found my glasses were never ordered and I've been calling for 2 days and I cannot reach anybody in the Mankato visionworks store to answer my questions this is the first time that I have had issues my glasses are broken I cannot see without them my glasses should have been here by now my new ones and I can't even talk to the people who work there to find out what happened why they were never ordered and it's very frustrating because I keep getting transferred to representatives from different states even though I call the Mankato store phone number read more

Unprofessional comedy of errors!! I purchased a pair of glasses from VisionWorks in the Mankato River Hills Mall, and have an unresolved horror story to tell. My story starts with the typical eye examination. In this case, the arrogant eye doctor dilated my pupils without consulting me. It was lucky I had a ride home, otherwise I would have been a fixture at the mall for the next few hours until I could safely see to drive. I ordered my glasses, only to find when they arrived, the same arrogant eye doctor ordered the wrong prescription. Another wait for my glasses. When my glasses arrived for the second time, I went in to get them, and have them adjusted. I had to put up with the employee's gatoraide and twizzlers strewn around the table. I know he was more interested in his food than me. The employee started adjusting my glasses, and it became very clear that he was untrained. He started bending my glasses in ways I have never seen glasses bent before. The glasses were fitting worse and worse each time he made an adjustment. I finally had to tell him to stop because I was afraid he would break the glasses. I told him I wanted my money back, to which he replied he did not have that authority--only the store manager does. He stated the manager was not in the store, did not know when she would be in the store, or how to get in contact with her. He did say he would leave my name and telephone number on her desk for her to call me to discuss remedial action. That has been two weeks ago--I have not received a call to discuss any action. So much for VisionWorks 100 day satisfaction guarantee. I have never experienced any retail establishment with this degree of unprofessionalism. Have gotten quite a few pair of eyeglasses at Vision Works over the years. Most recently, worked with Cole who discovered a defect in one of the pair of eyeglasses and addressed it immediately. He also adjusted the fit really well. Well done and thank you! read more

The mankato vision works , has the worst customer service. I waited for over a hour for someone to help me order my glasses, and when someone finally help me , they stop twice to talk with friends that came in to talk about there night out drinking the night before. After the second time I said something about how rude and poor customer service it was, and was told I could go some place else if I don't like it . Well never go back read more

I brought my 17 year old daughter. They whisked her away without saying anything to me. Not a huge deal except they never said anything to me the whole time and it took a long time. The next thing I know they're asking me if we picked out frames yet (as they looked at each other furtively). When I said I hadn't even been told anything about her prescription or how her eyes were yet. They all looked at each other again like I was some prying weirdo (though they all come to the parent for the money right). I got them to print out the prescription for me (which told me she didn't even need the weakest reading glasses from a drug store). They had told my daughter she would need bifocals. When I commented that 0.75 was weaker than the most basic reading glasses the woman "helping" me at that point was rude and wouldn't really answer any questions. If we get glasses it sure won't be from vision works. Unbelievable lousy condescending attitude. There may be some employees who are helpful there but if the manager has the worst attitude, then the whole company will suffer. read more

I have NEVER experienced a more negative experience than I have with your Mankato, MN location these past few days. I have been attempting to order contacts through 1-800 Contacts.com and the order was rejected multiple times. I have TWO contact prescriptions listed with this location on file, an Acuvue Oaysis and Acuvue 2. I was in a few months ago and purchased a box of the Acuvue 2. I also called and spoke with a female last week at the VisionWorks location that told me she indeed saw the prescription, and I was OK to order until July 2017. After attempting to order multiple times I once again called and spoke with "Kyle" who told me he's the store assistant manager and that there is no one higher up than him that I am able to speak with. He told me that this contact was not listed anywhere within my file, even though I JUST ordered it a couple of months ago and even paid an extra fitting fee so I'd be able to order these again in the future since I decided these are a good fit. He was extremely short and unwilling to even further assist me when I told him the fact I had two contacts even caused some minor confusion when I was in the store ordering this last time. I will NEVER set foot in a VisionWorks again after your awful customer service and will tell anyone and everyone that will listen how horrible of an experience I have had. read more
