He knows every kid by name, seems to genuinely care about their progress and is great at recognizing where kids need extra help. Ms Petra is always there with a smile on her face to greet children and parents alike, and to make sure the kids have the best time. No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to ask how you are doing. The program at Master Chang's blends taekwondo instruction with character building skills and experiences. The staff and class helpers foster an atmosphere of positivity, support, and respect amongst the kids in a fun and engaging way. My child looks forward to every class he goes to, and this is the first activity where he hasn't complained once about going, or asking when it will be over.  We recently also had his birthday party there and it was super fun for all involved, including even the parents who got to participate in the taekwondo lesson, watch a performance from the talented demo team of students from this location, and hold boards while their children broke them with the skills they learned at the party. Parents let us know how much fun their children had and commented on how engaging Master Y Kim was specifically. I talked with Sifu (teacher, instructor) before and after class and I knew I have signed up and see how far I can go with a bad knee. I learn to modify some exercises and try my best at some others. Well, I joined end of February of this year and I still a member. I am loving it because whatever I learn, I can practice at home. Repetition is key to getting you better. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. It awed me to watch the advanced students and sifu practice forms and weapons before class. Sifu is stern but very approachable. He watches everyone and at a moment, he would give you a correction. That is to me is priceless. I will continue my journey! Give Kung fu a try!

When it came time to renew, we wanted to switch to monthly payments, only to be told that monthly memberships are not offered and that we would need to commit to another six months paid in advance. Apparently, the only flexibility is the ability to pause your membership after paying thousands of dollars upfront. Requiring families to commit to six months or even a full year with no shorter-term or month-to-month option is unreasonable. Families' schedules, finances, and circumstances change, and customers should have the ability to choose a payment structure that works for them. To me, this kind of rigid pricing model feels exploitative rather than customer-focused. A business can offer membership incentives without forcing families into lengthy financial commitments just to continue participating. The martial arts instruction may have value, but the lack of reasonable membership options and flexibility is extremely disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering enrollment to carefully review the contract and understand that you may not have the option to pay monthly, even after completing an initial commitment. Families deserve transparent pricing, reasonable choices, and the freedom to decide how they pay for a service.

This school has everything you didn't know you needed from a Martial Arts school. This is not a…read morechurned out Mc Dojo looking to charge you for belts, clothing, monthly tests etc. This is a family style school where everyone is friendly and helpful and there are no uniforms or belts. Either you know what you have been learning and practicing, or you don't. A colored belt doesn't change who you are and what you are capable of. Regular classes are an hour long and will have healthy food served afterwards. You are not kicked out of the school when you finish your class, instead you are encouraged to stay and practice and workout with your fellow kung fu brothers and sisters. It is a large school with two main practice rooms, a bag room, and a gym room. There is also a kitchen with a dining area and two private rooms that can be used for meditation or massage therapy. Sifu Smith teaches a few styles of Tai Chi, Bagua, Hop Gar (Tibetan Kung Fu), Choi Li Fut, and a few other select more private styles. Its rare that you find a teacher that has a great lineage, and its also rare to find a teacher who is exceptional at teaching. When you find a teacher that has a great lineage and is a great teacher, consider yourself fortunate to learn there. We have students there who have come from various martial backgrounds from people who have run their own schools, to people who have never stepped in a gym. There is no judgement, only encouragement. Mask mandate is upheld by far better then any establishment besides a super market in the area. They are the only place to still take your temperature every time upon entering. Reminders are made every 30 minutes or so about masks. 2. Equipment is of good quality. Just wish they had two more squat racks!!! They have everything you need for Olympic lifting as well. Plenty of free weights. Great machines by Hoist. Also has a large turf area for sled drills. 3. The staff is great. They are welcoming and always cater to your needs.
