Curtis absolutely nailed our wedding as our DJ. I originally told him I wanted him to stick to the…read morespecific playlist we had created but he assured me he knew what other songs to add in that matched our genre and general vibe we were going for and he was absolutely right! He played all our requested songs and then surprised us with additional songs that were such a hit on the dance floor. The lighting on the dance floor kept the vibes immaculate!! I can't wait to see our first dance pictures with the cold sparklers that were included in our DJ package. Our guests also loved the Photo Booth and all the additional props he brought for people to use for it. He was such a sweetheart and listened to any additional timeline requests through out the night to kept things on schedule and moving. He was so easy to work with and I feel like I didn't have to life a finger or worry about what he was doing- he simply had everything under control! A huge thank you to Curtis for giving me piece of mind on our wedding day and bringing all the fun amazing vibes to the dance floor!

We found Venue 1902 through an event post on Facebook, and it was only the second venue we toured…read morein person -- we booked it within 24 hours. They had a great incentive at the time, and we immediately fell in love with the space. From the first tour, the team was amazing. Adriana showed us around and was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Aleshia assisted with finalizing our booking and was just as wonderful. We met with Adriana in person two more times before the wedding and also communicated frequently via email -- responses were always prompt and thorough, which made the planning process feel organized. Venue 1902 provides a curated list of recommended vendors (with catering to be selected from their approved options--plus with BYO alcohol option too) and hosts vendor events throughout the year (plus twice a year exclusively for couples who have already secured a date). These were a valuable part of planning -- we found our phenomenal vendors: caterer, hair/makeup artist, photographer, and photobooth company through these. The team was transparent about what their day-of coordination service includes versus what would require an additional decor placement fee, which we appreciated. They also offer a wide range of decorations, with a price list provided after booking. We were open about our budget throughout the entire process, and we never felt judged or pressured to spend more. A month before the wedding, they set up an online planning tool that helps organize the guest list/seating chart/general layouts and allows you to access/edit at home after, making it easy to visualize the wedding day setup. Small tip: If you plan to have hair and makeup services at the venue, coordinate with your artists early to determine what time you'll need venue access. You might be surprised at how long it takes to complete hair and makeup! Between our booking and our wedding, Venue 1902 implemented a day-of coordination partnership with the company Just Marry!. Initially, this change made me (bride) a bit nervous, but those concerns were put to rest. While our full experience with Just Marry! deserves its own separate review, I cannot say enough positive things about Emylie, who was absolutely incredible and played a huge role in ensuring our wedding day ran smoothly. Venue 1902 truly has thought of everything. It's an all-in-one venue with spacious bride and groom getting-ready suites (filled with natural lighting), lots of clean bathrooms, and beautiful outdoor ceremony (with the option to move indoors due to weather at no extra cost)/indoor+outdoor cocktail hour/indoor reception spaces. With so many unique spots for photos, the venue looks beautiful no matter the angle--and equally striking in color or black and white. There is ample parking plus valet service and elevator access to the reception area on wedding day (available for guests who NEED it). They even lock the bridal suite during the wedding to ensure personal belongings are secure. Brunch provided during wedding day was delicious and substantial. Thoughtful touches like mailing a letter and tote bag for the bride months before the wedding as well as giving us a bottle of champagne during the wedding rehearsal made us feel cared for. A little heads up for future brides planning to wear a long veil--mine got caught on the flooring of the outdoor ceremony aisle, which was totally fine; I just wasn't ready meheheheh! Overall, Venue 1902 is absolutely stunning, professionally run, and exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and well-thought-out wedding venue. (All wedding photos by Ashley Krug Photography )

I like that they have multiple choices for the ceremony location. We were outside in the courtyard/garden area. It was beautiful. Cocktail hour was done downstairs in one of the rooms and foyer. Loved the natural light that came in through the huge windows. It didn't feel cramped at all! The reception was upstairs and this is the only reason I knocked off 1 star. I didn't see where there was an elevator to get to the second level. This would obviously be an issue for anyone that has issues with stairs or someone that was wheelchair bound. The upstairs reception area was beautiful! It's a big open space and makes for a nice place to decorate. I will definitely keep this place in mind for any future events.

There was small bar set up in the rear of the dining areas and the staff server a beautiful selection of hors d'oeuvre prior to dinner service (Mushroom Pastries, Skewered Pork-belly and Roasted Brussels Sprouts) which were all delicious and plentiful. Dinner service was nothing less than elegant, the table was set up to accommodate everyone comfortably and decorated to fit the occasion. The dinner was served buffet style and everything was served at the correct temperature with a great presentation and included Roasted Tri-Tip, Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breast, Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes, a fresh Spring Salad with Homemade Dressings, Rolls and of course a beautiful cake. I highly recommend this beautiful venue, they can accommodate small gatherings to I'm sure quite large ones, I love it's downtown with so much close by if you want to continue your celebration after the event. With our work, we are very busy, but this package made life simple. Contacting vendors was very easy (and FUN), there was easy communication between all of them as they know the property and other vendors very well. I didn't have to over explain my vision, contact them about itineraries, etc. They were ready to take care of every detail (certainly took the stress away). We had Shelby as our day of coordinator. She was amazing! I cannot begin to give her enough praise. The week before the wedding- I went a little "controlling" I joked I hit another level, I was a bride-o-path, I contacted her every hour with questions, thoughts, display ideas and she was so gracious to not only ease my mind, but to have ALREADY thought of everything to implement it day of. Examples: heaters, baby chair, signs, etc. She had it already figured out for me. I was SO happy with every vendor we used. I work in entertainment and have done countless "gigs" with DJs, catering, photographers, etc. Our wedding team was amazing, we were so blessed. Le petite sweet, DJ Johnny Blue Chip, flowers by Angie, Corwins Catering(they come with entire staff for day of, 100% recommend them over ALL the other catering options. Trust me. They are the BEST). Daylin for photography, we also used her recommendation for videography, Justin. It made it very easy to use our vendors recommendations. They had great rapport and you can see that in finished product. Very happy with them. Selena from Crystal designs initially gave us our tour and was there as we did our design session. She is great and was so wonderful in putting my vision together. For decor, we did bring A LOT of our own personal items, I wanted to get creative and make some of my own items to bring along, that's me, artsy fartsy. Shelby and HB team were very helpful putting everything together (better than I imagined) for me as well as properly packing it all up end of night. The entire team was very kind, helpful, and attentive to my needs and needs of my guests. The preparation was wonderful, communication easy, and the wedding day was an absolute DREAM. Thank you, Hidden Barn Venue for the wedding of our dreams! It was everything I could have hoped for and more. We are very very pleased. If you choose this venue, you will not be disappointed!
