When I saw a groupon available a couple of years ago, I decided to try again with a different stylist. I scheduled with Joanne and I couldn't be happier. She is one of the only stylists I've ever been to that leaves me with the look I came in wanting. She's wonderfully kind and personable as well, so I always feel comfortable coming in to see her. I've recommended her to at least a dozen people who can't find a hair stylist who will listen to them and the ones who took my advice are all hooked! I must say that the environment there is very relaxed. The staff is like family, and I know that some clients consider that unprofessional. The casual atmosphere doesn't bother me at all as long as I feel I am a priority to them as a client. They also serve coffee and bagels in the mornings which can help pass the time while being colored or drying. I cannot recommend Joanne enough!

I am in complete awe of this salon. I recently moved into the area and found them on yelp so gave…read morethem a try and so happy I did. The salon is SO clean and modern- but not a "we're trying too hard" modern. Just very relaxed. Staff is amazingly friendly- from the front desk girl who never stops smiling to the girl washing your hair. And they all work together really well. I had Rito as a stylist- I asked for a senior since I was nervous. For once in my life, I got the hair cut I asked for. He didn't try to sway my opinion, or do his own thing. He gave me exactly what I wanted. I've been to places before that have given good haircuts, but not what I intended. He did just that. And so honest the entire time about my hair. Explained his process. It was such a great experience. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in my area to give this salon a try- especially Rito! Guy is a women's hair cutting God!

Was told they always email and text confirmations but I never received either. Was told the person I made the appointment with is no longer accepting new clients. Not sure why I was able to do so on the website then. While asking questions on the phone and explaining my situation , the woman kept talking over me and telling me I was being rude. In fact, she was being rude and impatient while repeatedly telling she was helping me. Talking over me and calling me rude is not helping me. She was mad simply because I was asking questions about the new person she was scheduling me to see. As a potential new client she should be kind and patient. Left a bad taste in my mouth and does not make me want to keep my appointment. I'm a physician and know how to interact with the general public. I handle rude patients on a daily basis with grace and kindness. I was definitely not being rude. She needs to be trained. Let's hope the stylist is nicer than the front desk employee

I was nervous to…read morego this short with my hair, but not only is John clearly experienced, he knows how to communicate around it and its very easy to just want to shut up, trust him, and let him work. But if you need it, like I did, he'll communicate every step of the way, which he did for me and I appreciated it. He spoke about cutting hair, lines and shape, products, and seasonal changes, both poetically and intellectually, which is basically my love language. He took some of the photos I showed him and customized it exactly to my face shape, my desired level of maintenance, my aversion to products, etc. and the result was perfect. I never quite love how I look walking out of a salon, but I did this time. And days later, this cut is everything I hoped it would be. TLDR; If you're going to go short, John's the person to trust for the job. Tell him I sent you and you will get zero discount because he deserves every penny. I don't think I'll have anyone else cut my hair if I can help it. I forget the name of the gentleman who washed my hair, but if he wants to do that every morning for me, I'd be fine with that. I look forward, one day, to having Lydia do some massage work for me, because after talking to her about it, I trust she's as skilled in this as John is in cutting hair. Also, unrelated to the work, the salon's space is gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated. Lofty and airy, but cool and industrious. I hope they find ways to even just rent out the space for other things because it's too nice not to share it.
