Tracking down a hair stylist for my mom, future MIL, and bridal party two months before my wedding…read morewas kind of terrifying and stressful until I found Ashley Lauren Beauty Lounge. Ashley Lauren was friendly, helpful, and communicative on the phone and through email. The price list is very clear regarding styles and travel fees. I was unable to schedule a trial for my party as everyone was coming in from out of town but I was confident that it would all work out beautifully and it did! The day of the wedding (6/9/18), Daniella arrived early and was very pleasant and relaxed despite some confusion on payment (totally MY fault- everything got sorted out though!) She totally breezed through three low side buns, two blowouts, and one half updo. Even with some redos on the latter, she finished ahead of schedule. Everyone's hair looked amazing throughout the entire day, which lasted from 10am to 11pm. An amazing value regarding quality and price. Thank you Daniella and Ashley Lauren for a wonderful and very professional experience!

She did an incredible job cutting and styling my hair, and she also did both my hair and makeup for my wedding. From the very beginning, she was professional, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease. My haircut and style always look amazing when she does it! Her studio is clean and beautiful. For my wedding, she truly exceeded every expectation. She listened to exactly what I wanted and created a look that was beautiful, elegant, and lasted all day and night. My makeup looked flawless in person and in photos, and I received so many compliments. She played such an important part in making me feel confident and beautiful on one of the most special days of my life. I'm so grateful for her talent and would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing hairstylist and makeup artist!

One star is too generous. I booked the owner Nicki and her crew for my wedding day and what a…read moredisastrous nightmare. We agreed on beginning hair and makeup at a certain time and what does she do? Be almost 2 hours late with the excuse of "traffic" (only coming to Rockland from Yonkers). Nicki completely dodged speaking with me and only communicated with my wedding coordinator that she would be late. I tried calling her numerous times to see just how late late was and she ignored all 3 of my calls- only to TEXT ME and say "I'm driving I can't talk" When she arrived an hour and 45min late, she was completely unapologetic and disrespectful to my parents house- moving things around like she owned the place and demanding things. All she kept saying was "I got you" when yet she had nothing under control. The hairstyle she did for me, my mother and my other bridesmaids was so horribly done and rushed- she did a way better job on my hair and makeup trial than she did for me on my actual wedding day, the opposite of how it should be. My wedding coordinator was the one fixing my hair for me and hiding very visible bobby pins. If my wedding coordinator didn't by some miracle get another makeup artist to come and do makeup for my mother and my other bridesmaid, I would've been 2 hours late for my own wedding photos. Because of this rude, disrespectful, dismissive woman, I missed out on all of my getting ready photos, as the photographer had to leave to go photograph my husband and his bridal party instead because no one was close to ready on my end. I now have no photos of my mother helping me get into my wedding dress because of her lateness throwing off my entire wedding day timeline. She offered only $100 off the final price when yet she did not even complete the job fully. As a bride, this was one of my worst nightmares come true. Don't ever book Nicki for anything of importance.

Midway through my hair appointment I was told the owner was going to be charging me $100 an hour... never have I ever been told a hair salon charges by the hour, unheard of, which I voiced at that point with toner in my hair. I was there from the 1100 to 1800. My hair at 6pm was still not cut nor blow dried. The color and style that I showed them as to what I wanted was not met. I paid and left without my hair being finished.
