I never have to wait too long for my scheduled appointment, even if the waiting room is full. I have been calling them to schedule a Mammogram since Jan, i have left more than 10 messages and called them more than that, they do not answer the phone there. My Dr's office sent the referral to their office on Jan 8th, to this date still waiting to hear back its now March, couldve went elsewhere but ive been there several times for MRI's and all has been good, if Dr's office doesnt schedule the appt for you dont even try and waste your time on them. I was afraid to go here because it was my first MRI and secondly because of all the bad reviews! However, I had the best experience! The girls in the front were kind, understanding, nice, and displayed great care! I didn't encounter a rude person at all. My first MRI was done by an older gentleman by the name of Kurt. He talked be through it and made me feel comfortable and not scared. He told me exactly what to expect and feel since it was my first time and explained the process because I had to do an MRI of the brain with and without contrast. Thanks Kurt for your quality of care and empathy. Unfortunately, I needed another MRI and had to go back a second time, and also had a wonderful experience. I had a different technician, but he was also good. The second time was an MRI of the lumbar spine without contrast. I highly recommend this place and would keep coming back here in the future. read more

went to get my boyfriends disc for his shoulder X-ray, because he has an appointment today with his regular dr to go over results. got there at 20mi utes to 10.. in the past it's onlt taken about 10 minutes total to get a disc and report. today, it took 25 minutes total just get a disc, cuz the broad up front couldn't find my boyfriends account. he has had multiple MRI's done and X-ray's done there for several years. the broads explanation? oh, someone at sometime couldn't find his original account so they made a new one... this is ridiculous. epic failure!! It is my first time here and I am absolutely disappointed in the service they provide. Upon walking in the 2 receptionist were so enthralled in their conversation they didn't bother to stop to help as I waited for them to finish their PRIVATE conversation. That already left a sour taste in my mouth. The last and final straw was they claimed to have called so I can bring a copy of previous images but I don't have not one missed call or message from this office. It was mentioned that a message couldn't be left because voicemail was not set up when in fact I know it is. I made this appointment at least a week ago. It would have been nice to have been told then if what was needed. Unfortunately there isn't another office I can complete my ultrasound in visalia otherwise I would have elected to. I hope their customer service is not a reflection of the services they provide read more

I come to Visalia Imaging because it is right next door to my Ob-gyn so after that yearly exam, I bring my mammogram paperwork here to make an appointment which is usually available within a few weeks. The front staff and techs have always been professional. A mammogram can be awkward for some, but I don't feel that way here. Thankfully technology is getting better as far as the machines so the process is getting quicker and less painful. My results are mailed in a timely manner. read more

This place needs to get organized! #1 Called more than once to make an appointment goes straight to voicemail then never heard back ,called again and didn't use appointment prompt. Got a human and she was able to get me to scheduling (I thought) made an Appt for 3:30 on a Friday. #2 got there 15min. early as requested, gave the Girl at the desk the order for a mammogram. She asked for basic info.... then said the earliest i could get an appt. was Oct. I replied I was here for my 3:30 appt. she said I wasn't on the schedule. This is the new Suite "D" for xrays only, first time I went. I'm 82, and today (Thursday afternoon) I went completely prepared for a couple of the quickest and most basic of xrays. Positively the nastiest and most uncooperative front-desk girl I've ever encountered ...xray technician as well. No doubt they hate their jobs. I finally let Morticia in front know it. She doesn't even slide open the glass window more than a couple of inches, then pretends she can't hear. I can respect and appreciate their patient load--and it's fine for them to be rushed (no problem!) --but their rudeness was over the top, gratuitous. Apparently the owners are too cheap to hire more professional staff; a few seats in the waiting room were so worn they had to cover up the holes with duct tape. Looked like the Burger King. on Mooney lol. NOTE: Yesterday (Wednesday) another young woman at the front desk was fine; she did a preliminary paperwork intake for me to prepare for today, offered to make a couple of calls on my behalf. I've had two visits to VI&M for two different procedures. Both times the entire staff where warm, friendly and patient. In fact, my second procedure was supposed to be at a different place but it was worth waiting on insurance to get it clears to use VI&M Highly recommend read more

Probably the nicest people giving a MRI in my whole medical history. when I voiced my history of getting panic attacks during the MRI. David and Lorena listened to my concerns and made my experience very efficient and I felt they really were cared about my concerns. When it comes to actually receiving the service, the technician that perform the service did very well. Nothing but positive things to say. When it comes to the billing department however, it was one of the worst experiences ever. We recently called to get a listing of what we owed. We hadn't received a bill so we were checking in to make sure that we were being accountable for the service that we received. The lady that answered the call was very rude and short with us, refusing to be civil in any manner. When we tried to explain we didn't receive the bill, and asked that they put in the notes that we didn't receive it, the person dismissed us and threaten to go into collections if we don't pay by next month. We have no problem paying what is owed. That's why we called; however, choosing to be rude, no matter how your day has gone, is unacceptable. read more

Absolutely the worst billing department in Visalia's health care system ! They will bill you before billing your insurance company ! Some of the staff is very rude and watch your back when dealing with them in person , make sure to take a witness on your behalf, as some of the staff will try and make it look like you are being aggressive ! The staff take half an hour to answer the phone so if you are going to confirm your appt. the day before. They rushed me in and out in 15 minutes for a pelvic ultrasound and when you think you may have cancer, this is concerning. When you feel rushed in and out you are pretty sure they are not being thorough.I have always had my mammograms, ultrasounds and imaging here but I just had my last procedure there. Life is too short to risk rushing through an expensive procedure. The cost gets higher if they miss something important. read more

The X-ray tech gets 5 stars. Extremely polite and professional. Still, don't come here if you need any X-rays. I have had good experiences for other scans but they don't take appointments for X-rays. They start X-rays at 9 on a walk in only basis. Today I got here at 8:40 and they told me there was one person already waiting. The person in front of me was out by 9:30. I waited until 10:30 to be seen for a chest X-ray that takes 5 minutes. The front office was rude from the second I walked in and I'm pretty sure they forgot about me. My first time getting a CT Scan without an appointment. I went to the front desk, and they took my paperwork, and then briefly asked me to update my insurance and contact information. I sat in the wait room no longer than 20 minutes before they called me to do to the CT Scan. My overall experience at Visalia Imaging was good. The bottom line if you need imaging tests done on short notice this is the place you want to go. read more

First off my son who just turned 18 still a child came to visalia imaging he was taken back for an mri because he was involved in a bad car accident and is in a neck brace. When he got there they asked him take his plastic non metal neck brace off to do the mri, understandable but after the procedure they told him they were done and sent him out to the wa iting room. This kid has been in shock since the accident and looked confused almost in hysterics by the time he came out with no neck brace on and said they told him he was done. I really hope that these people's actions did not cause anymore injuries to my son. He is home with doctors orders to not take the brace off for any reason other than after a shower which he needs help to keep his neck straight and it takes two people to put another one back on. Very unprofessional staff they had to know giving they had the paperwork from valley children's. They just looked confused. Shame on them. read more

Was initially referred to another place but it was out of network. After contacting my insurance found this place. The person (Amanda) that called me to set up my appointment was awesome. She was able to get me in within 2 days. This place is open on Saturdays which is really convenient. When I showed up for the appt. there was no real wait. I was called in to my appointment on time. I came to get back xrays while suffering from pretty severe back pain. I was told it would be a 25 minute wait, a tough amount of time to be in a waiting room with excruciating pain, but okay. OVER ONE HOUR LATER I am still sitting in the waiting room as I write this. My pain has multiplied at this point. I THINK THEY ALL WENT TO LUNCH WITHOUT FEELING THE NEED TO TELL THEIR PATIENTS THEIR WAIT TIME IS TRIPLING! If I could leave, I would. The next time I need an x ray I'll ask the doctor to send me elsewhere, SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND DO THE SAME. read more

Took about an hour from the time I got there until I got my CD. Staff was pleasant and helpful, explained what was going to happen before it did. Cat Scan with contrast dye was an experience I wont soon forget, when the dye goes through your body its not very pleasant, quite a weird feeling for sure, almost couldnt stand it. Was a fast test though which I liked. Amazing ceiling to look at. read more

Had a STAT order from my MD out of town. The results were suppose to be called back STAT(within 1 hour). It was a Friday the MD never got a call back and was unable to get ahold of anyone the whole weekend. The staff was not professional, expected more from a private Xray office. read more

They take walk-ins, and the staff is really nice. If its your first time there they have you fill out a couple pieces of paperwork and your all set. I was in and out in less than 30 min. Very happy with my X-ray and if I need an MRI or CT Scan I will definitely be coming back here. Over all great experience. There are a couple of complaints on here that they were not quick enough with getting the information over to the doctors. First they tell you it takes 24 to 48 hrs and that just back end stuff so if your in a hurry and your really mest up maybe you should go to a doctor that has an office in a hospital and get your scans then and there. Reception was really nice. I wasn't thrilled about going there with a full bladder at 12:45 and having to wait till 1:10 The girl who took me back was clearly new to the job and I understand it takes practice but I did not want to come in to be a test subject. I have had testing before and normally goes very quick I did not get out of there till 1:50 it would have took longer too if I didn't tell them I have to pick up my daughter at 2:00. I know in training they say don't tell your patients your new but come on most people can tell if your experienced or not. Just wish they were considerate and passed on the testing if they weren't comfortable. The New girls supervisor should have took over for her and showed her what to do. read more

Finally got in after waiting for three days (Radiologist not on site). Staff was very friendly and professional. Recommend this place, but, they need to have a back up Radiologist on stand by instead of putting up a sign on the door stating, no X-rays today. Sorry for the inconvenience.
